1 De fato, nisto, meu coração treme; sai do seu lugar. 2 Ouve, ó, ouve o barulho da Sua voz, o som que sai da Sua boca. 3 Ele o envia abaixo do céu e envia Seu relâmpago para as fronteiras da Terra.

1 Indeed, my heart trembles at this; it is moved out of its place. 2 Hear, oh, hear the noise of his voice, the sound that goes out from his mouth. 3 He sends it out under the whole sky, and he sends out his lightning to the edges of the earth.

4 Uma voz ruge depois; Ele troveja com a voz da Sua majestade; Ele não restringe Seu relâmpago quando Sua voz é ouvida. 5 Deus troveja maravilhosamente com Sua voz. Ele faz grandes coisas que não podemos compreender. 6 Pois Ele diz à neve: 'Cai sobre a terra!'; da mesma forma, Ele diz à chuva: 'Sê uma grande chuva!'.

4 A voice roars after it; he thunders with the voice of his majesty; he does not restrain the lightning bolts when his voice is heard. 5 God thunders marvelously with his voice; he does great things that we cannot comprehend. 6 For he says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth'; and to the rain shower, 'Be strong.'

7 Ele pára a mão de cada homem no trabalho, para que todas as pessoas que Ele fez possam ver Seus atos. 8 Então, os animais começam a se esconder em suas tocas. 9 A tempestade vem de sua câmara do sul e o frio dos ventos que se espalham no norte.

7 He stops the hand of every man from working, so that all people whom he has made may see his deeds. 8 Then the beasts go into hiding and stay in their dens. 9 The storm comes from its chamber in the south and the cold from the scattering winds in the north.

10 Pelo sopro de Deus, o gelo é formado; a expansão das águas é congelada como metal. 11 De fato, Ele sobrecarrega a densa nuvem com umidade; Ele espalha Seus relâmpagos através das nuvens.

10 By the breath of God ice is given; the expanse of the waters is frozen like metal. 11 Indeed, he weighs down the thick cloud with moisture; he scatters his lightning through the clouds.

12 Ele guia as nuvens ao redor por Sua orientação, para fazer o que Ele manda sobre a superfície de todo o mundo. 13 Ele faz tudo isso acontecer; às vezes, para correção, às vezes, em favor de sua Terra e, às vezes, como ações de fidelidade à aliança.

12 He swirls the clouds around by his guidance, so that they may do whatever he commands them above the surface of the earthly world. 13 He makes all of this happen; sometimes it happens for correction, sometimes for his land, and sometimes as acts of covenant faithfulness.\m

14 Ouve isto, Jó! Pára e pensa sobre as ações maravilhosas de Deus. 15 Sabes como Deus força Sua vontade sobre as nuvens e faz os relâmpagos iluminá-las?

14 Listen to this, Job; stop and think about God's marvelous deeds. 15 Do you know how God establishes the clouds and makes the lightning bolts to flash in them?

16 Tu compreendes o equilíbrio das nuvens, as maravilhosas ações de Deus, que é perfeito em conhecimento? 17 Tu compreendes como tuas vestes esquentam quando a terra se torna ainda calma por causa do vento que vem do sul?

16 Do you understand the floating of the clouds, the marvelous deeds of God, who is perfect in knowledge? 17 Do you understand how your garments become hot when the land is still because the wind comes from the south?

18 Tu podes espalhar o céu, como Ele pode — o céu, que é forte como um espelho de metal fundido? 19 Ensina-nos o que devemos dizer a Ele, pois não podemos estabelecer argumentos por causa da escuridão das nossas mentes. 20 Ele deveria ser informado de que desejo falar com Ele? Poderia uma pessoa desejar ser engolida?

18 Can you spread out the sky as he can— the sky, which is as strong as a mirror of cast metal? 19 Teach us what we should say to him, for we cannot lay out our arguments in order because of the darkness of our minds. 20 Should he be told that I wish to speak with him? Would a person wish to be swallowed up?\m

21 Agora, pessoas não podem olhar para o sol quando está brilhando no céu, depois de o vento passar e limpá-lo de suas nuvens. 22 Para fora do norte, vem esplendido ouro — acima de Deus, há espantosa majestade.

21 Now, people cannot look at the sun when it is bright in the sky after the wind has passed through and has cleared it of its clouds. 22 Out of the north comes golden splendor— over God is fearsome majesty.

23 No que diz respeito ao Todo Poderoso, não podemos encontrá-Lo; Ele é grande em poder e justiça. Ele não oprime as pessoas; 24 portanto, as pessoas O temem. Ele não presta qualquer atenção àqueles que são sábios em suas próprias mentes".

23 As for the Almighty, we cannot find him! He is great in power; he does not oppress justice and abundant righteousness. 24 Therefore, people fear him. He does not pay any attention to those who are wise in their own minds."
