1 Então vi, na mão direita Daquele que estava sentado no trono, um rolo escrito por dentro e por fora. Este estava selado com sete selos. 2 Vi um anjo poderoso proclamando em alta voz: "Quem é digno de abrir o rolo e de romper os seus selos?"

1 Then I saw in the right hand of the one who was seated on the throne a scroll written on the front and on the back, sealed with seven seals. 2 I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?"

3 Ninguém no céu, nem na terra, nem debaixo da terra, estava apto para abrir ou ler o rolo. 4 Eu chorava amargamente porque ninguém foi encontrado digno de abrir nem de ler o rolo. 5 Mas um dos anciãos me disse: "Não chores. Eis que o Leão da Tribo de Judá, a Raiz de Davi, venceu para abrir o rolo e seus sete selos".

3 No one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to read it. 4 I wept bitterly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to read it. 5 But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Look! The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals."

6 Vi um Cordeiro em pé, entre o trono e os quatro seres viventes e entre os anciãos. O Cordeiro parecia ter sido morto. Ele tinha sete chifres e sete olhos. Estes são os espíritos de Deus enviados sobre toda a terra. 7 Ele veio e tomou o rolo da mão direita Daquele que estava sentado no trono.

6 I saw a Lamb standing in the middle of the throne area and among the four living creatures and among the elders. He looked as though he had been killed. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. 7 He went and took hold of the scroll out of the right hand of the one who was seated on the throne.

8 Quando o Cordeiro tomou o rolo, os quatro seres viventes e os vinte e quatro anciãos prostraram-se diante Dele. Cada um deles tinha uma harpa e uma taça de ouro cheia de incenso, que são as orações dos santos.

8 When he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each of them had a harp and a golden bowl full of incense, which are the prayers of God's holy people.

9 Eles cantavam uma nova canção: "Tu és digno de tomar o rolo e de abrir os seus selos, porque foste morto e, com o Teu sangue, compraste para Deus pessoas de toda tribo, língua, povo e nação. 10 Tu os constituíste reino e sacerdotes para servirem o nosso Deus, e eles reinarão sobre a terra".

9 They sang a new song: "You are worthy to take the scroll2 and to open its seals. For you were slaughtered, and with your blood you purchased people for God2 from every tribe, language, people, and nation. 10 You made them a kingdom and priests to serve our God,2 and they will reign on the earth."\m

11 Então olhei e ouvi o som de muitos anjos, ao redor do trono, dos seres viventes e dos anciãos, cujo número total era de milhares de milhares e de milhões de milhões. 12 Eles falavam em alta voz: "Digno é o Cordeiro que foi morto de receber poder, riqueza, sabedoria, força, honra, glória e louvor".

11 Then I looked and heard the sound of many angels who encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. Their total number was ten thousands of ten thousands and thousands of thousands. 12 They said in a loud voice,i "Worthy is the Lamb, who has been slaughtered, to receive power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and praise."

13 Ouvi toda criatura que estava no céu, na terra, debaixo da terra e no mar - tudo o que neles há - dizendo: "Àquele que está sentado no trono e ao Cordeiro seja o louvor, a honra, a glória e o poder para reinar para sempre". 14 Os quatro seres viventes disseram: "Amém!" E os anciãos prostraram-se e O adoraram.

13 I heard every created thing that was in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea—everything in them—saying,i "To the one who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise, honor, glory, and dominion forever and ever." 14 The four living creatures said, "Amen!" and the elders fell down and worshiped. [[ Some important and ancient Greek copies read, " the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped the one who lives forever and ever " . ]]
