1 Então eu vi outro anjo poderoso descendo do céu. Ele estava envolto em uma nuvem, e tinha um arco-íris sobre a sua cabeça. Sua face era como o sol e seus pés como pilares de fogo. 2 Ele tinha em sua mão um pequeno rolo que estava aberto, e pôs seu pé direito sobre o mar e seu pé esquerdo sobre a terra,

1 Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven. He was clothed in a cloud, and there was a rainbow above his head. His face was like the sun and his feet were like pillars of fire. 2 He held a little scroll, which was opened in his hand. He put his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land.

3 E bradou em alta voz como um rugido de leão. E, quando ele bradou, os sete trovões falaram. 4 Logo que falaram os sete trovões, eu estava prestes a escrever, mas ouvi uma voz do céu, dizendo: "Guarda em segredo as coisas que os sete trovões falaram, e não as escrevas".

3 Then he shouted in a loud voice like a roaring lion. When he shouted, the seven thunders spoke out with their sounds. 4 When the seven thunders spoke out, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Seal up what the seven thunders said. Do not write it down."

5 Depois disso, o anjo que vi sobre o mar e sobre a terra ergueu sua mão direita ao céu 6 e jurou por Aquele que vive para todo o sempre, o qual criou o céu e tudo o que nele há, a terra e tudo o que nela há, o mar e tudo que nele existe: "Já não haverá mais demora, 7 mas, no dia em que o sétimo anjo estiver prestes a tocar sua trombeta, então o mistério de Deus será cumprido, como anunciou aos seus servos, os profetas".

5 Then the angel I saw standing on the sea and the earth raised his right hand to heaven. 6 He swore by the one who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and all that is in it, the earth and all that is on it, and the sea and all that is in it, and the angel said, "There will be no more delay. 7 But on the day when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, then the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he proclaimed the good news to his servants the prophets."

8 E a voz que ouvi do céu falou novamente comigo, dizendo: "Vai, toma o livro que se acha aberto na mão do anjo que está em pé sobre o mar e sobre a terra". 9 Então fui até o anjo, dizendo-lhe para dar-me o livrinho. Ele me disse: "Toma-o e come-o; e ele será amargo ao teu estômago, mas em tua boca será tão doce quanto mel".

8 The voice I heard from heaven spoke to me again: "Go, take the open scroll that is in the hand of the angel standing on the sea and on the land." 9 Then I went to the angel and told him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, "Take the scroll and eat it. It will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey."

10 Tomei o livrinho da mão do anjo e o comi. Era tão doce quanto o mel em minha boca; mas, depois de comê-lo, meu estômago ficou amargo. 11 Então me disseram: "É necessário que profetizes novamente a muitos povos, nações, línguas e reis".

10 I took the little scroll from the angel's hand and ate it. It was as sweet as honey in my mouth, but after I ate it, my stomach became bitter. 11 Then someone said to me, "You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages, and kings."
