1 Então vi um anjo descer do céu. Ele tinha a chave do abismo e uma grande corrente na mão. 2 Ele prendeu o dragão, a antiga serpente, a qual é o diabo ou Satanás, e o amarrou por mil anos. 3 Ele o lançou no abismo, fechou-o e pôs um selo sobre ele, para que não mais enganasse as nações até que os mil anos se completassem. Depois disso, ele será solto por um pouco tempo.

1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven. He had the key to the bottomless pit, and he had a great chain in his hand. 2 He took hold of the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 He threw him into the bottomless pit. He shut it and sealed it over him. This was so that he would not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were over. After that, he must be set free for a short amount of time.

4 Então vi tronos, nos quais estavam assentados os que tinham recebido autoridade para julgar. Eu também vi as almas dos que tinham sido decapitados por causa do testemunho de Jesus e da palavra de Deus. Eles não haviam adorado a besta ou sua imagem e se recusaram a receber a marca na testa ou na mão. Eles reviveram e reinaram com Cristo por mil anos.

4 Then I saw thrones. Seated on them were those who had been given authority to judge. I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony about Jesus and for the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image, and they had refused to receive the mark on their forehead or hand. They came to life, and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

5 Os outros mortos não reviveram até que se completassem os mil anos. Essa é a primeira ressureição. 6 Bem-aventurado e santo é aquele que faz parte da primeira ressureição! Sobre estes a segunda morte não tem poder. Eles serão sacerdotes de Deus e de Cristo e reinarão com Ele por mil anos.

5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is anyone who takes part in the first resurrection! Over these the second death has no power. They will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

7 Quando os mil anos chegarem ao fim, Satanás será solto da sua prisão. 8 Ele sairá para enganar as nações que estão nos quatro cantos da terra - Gogue e Magogue - a fim de ajuntá-las para a batalha, cujo número será como a areia do mar.

7 When the thousand years come to an end, Satan will be released from his prison. 8 He will go out to deceive the nations at the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—to bring them together for the battle. They will be as many as the sand of the sea.

9 Subiram sobre a ampla superfície da terra e cercaram o acampamento dos santos, a amada cidade. Mas fogo desceu do céu e as devorou. 10 O diabo, que os enganava, foi lançado no lago de fogo e enxofre, onde a besta e o falso profeta foram lançados. Eles serão atormentados dia e noite, para sempre e sempre.

9 They went up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's holy people—the beloved city. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. 10 The devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

11 Em seguida, vi um grande trono branco e Aquele que estava sentado sobre ele. A terra e o céu fugiram da Sua presença e não havia lugar para irem. 12 Eu vi os mortos, grandes e pequenos, em pé diante do trono e os livros foram abertos. Então outro livro foi aberto, o Livro da Vida. Os mortos foram julgados segundo o que estava registrado nos livros, segundo as suas obras.

11 Then I saw a great white throne and the one who is seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled away from his presence, but there was no place for them to go. 12 I saw the dead—the mighty and the unimportant—standing before the throne, and the books were opened. Then another book was opened—the Book of Life. The dead were judged by what was recorded in the books, according to their deeds.

13 O mar entregou os mortos que nele havia. A morte e o Hades entregaram também os mortos que neles havia, e os mortos foram julgados segundo as suas obras. 14 A morte e o Hades foram jogados no lago de fogo. Esta é a segunda morte, o lago de fogo. 15 Se o nome de alguém não foi achado escrito no Livro da Vida, esse foi jogado no lago de fogo.

13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and the dead were judged according to their deeds. 14 Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death—the lake of fire. 15 If anyone's name was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
