1 Então vi novo céu e nova terra, pois o primeiro céu e a primeira terra passaram, e o mar já não existe. 2 Eu vi a cidade santa, a nova Jerusalém, que descia do céu de Deus, preparada como uma noiva enfeitada para seu noivo.

1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, that came down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.

3 Ouvi uma grande voz do trono, dizendo: "Eis a morada de Deus com os homens, e Ele viverá com eles. Eles serão Seu povo, e o próprio Deus estará com eles e será Seu Deus. 4 Ele enxugará toda lágrima dos seus olhos, e não haverá mais morte, nem luto, nem choro, nem dor, porque já as primeiras coisas são passadas.

3 I heard a great voice from the throne saying, "Look! The dwelling place of God is with human beings, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and he will be their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death, or grieving, or crying, or pain. The former things have passed away.

5 Aquele que estava assentado no trono disse: "Eis que Eu fiz tudo novo". Ele disse: "Escreve, porque estas palavras são fiéis e verdadeiras". 6 Ele me disse: "Estas coisas estão feitas! Eu sou o Alfa e o Ômega, o Princípio e o Fim. Ao que tem sede darei, sem custo, da fonte da água da vida.

5 The one who was seated on the throne said, "Look! I make all things new." He said, "Write this down because these words are trustworthy and true." 6 He said to me, "These things are done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the one who thirsts I will give drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.

7 O que conquistar herdará essas coisas, e Eu serei seu Deus, e ele será Meu filho. 8 Mas quanto aos covardes, aos incrédulos, aos detestáveis, aos assassinos, aos sexualmente imoral, aos feiticeiros, aos idólatras, e a todos os mentirosos, o lugar deles será no lago que arde com fogo e enxofre. Essa é a segunda morte".

7 The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he will be my son. 8 But as for the cowards, the faithless, the detestable, the murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. That is the second death."

9 Um dos sete anjos veio a mim, o que tinha as sete taças cheias das sete últimas pragas, e disse: "Vem aqui. Eu te mostrarei a noiva, a esposa do Cordeiro". 10 Então me levou, em espírito, para uma grande e alta montanha, e mostrou-me a cidade santa, Jerusalém, que descia do céu de Deus.

9 One of the seven angels came to me, the one who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues, and he said, "Come here. I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb." 10 Then he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God.

11 Jerusalém tinha a glória de Deus, e brilhava como uma joia muito preciosa, como uma pedra de jaspe cristalina. 12 Lá havia um grande e alto muro com doze portões, com doze anjos nos portões, nos quais estavam escritos os nomes das doze tribos dos filhos de Israel. 13 A leste, havia três portões; ao norte, três; ao sul, três; e a oeste, três portões.

11 Jerusalem had the glory of God, and its brilliance was like a very precious jewel, like a stone of crystal-clear jasper. 12 It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel. 13 On the east were three gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on the west three gates.

14 A muralha da cidade tinha doze fundamentos, e nela estava o nome dos doze apóstolos do Cordeiro. 15 O que falava comigo tinha uma vara de medir, de ouro, para medir a cidade, suas portas e seus muros.

14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 The one who spoke with me had a measuring rod made of gold to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.

16 A cidade era quadrangular, seu comprimento era igual a sua largura. Mediu a cidade com a vara e a cidade tinha doze mil estádios de comprimento e o mesmo de largura e de altura. 17 Ele também mediu os muros: cento e quarenta e quatro côvados, segundo a medida humana, que era também a medida que os anjos usavam.

16 The city was laid out in a square; its length was the same as its width. He measured the city with the measuring rod, twelve thousand stadia in length (its length, width, and height were the same). 17 He also measured its wall, 144 cubits thick by human measurement (which is also the angel's measure).

18 O muro é de jaspe, e a cidade de ouro puro, semelhante ao vidro límpido. 19 Os fundamentos do muro estão adornados com todo tipo de pedras preciosas. O primeiro é de jaspe; o segundo, de safira; o terceiro, de calcedônia; o quarto, de esmeralda; 20 o quinto, de sardônica; o sexto, de sárdio; o sétimo, de crisólito; o oitavo, de berilo; o nono, de topázio; o décimo, de crisópraso; o décimo primeiro, de jacinto; o décimo segundo, de ametista.

18 The wall was built of jasper and the city of pure gold, like clear glass. 19 The foundations of the wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone. The first was jasper, the second was sapphire, the third was agate, the fourth was emerald, 20 the fifth was onyx, the sixth was carnelian, the seventh was chrysolite, the eighth was beryl, the ninth was topaz, the tenth was chrysoprase, the eleventh was jacinth, and the twelfth was amethyst.

21 Os doze portões são doze pérolas, e cada portão é feito de uma única pérola. As ruas da cidade são de ouro puro, transparente como vidro. 22 Eu não vi nenhum templo na cidade, porque o Senhor Deus Poderoso e o Cordeiro são o seu templo.

21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls; each of the gates was made from a single pearl. The streets of the city were pure gold, like transparent glass. 22 I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

23 A cidade não precisa do sol ou da lua para iluminá-la, porque a glória de Deus a iluminava, e a sua lâmpada é o Cordeiro. 24 As nações andarão na sua luz. Os reis da terra trarão para ela seu resplendor. [Nota: Algumas cópias mais antigas trazem: "As nações que são salvas andarão na sua luz".] 25 Os portões não se fecharão de dia, e não haverá noite ali.

23 The city had no need of the sun or the moon in order to shine on it because the glory of God shone on it, and its lamp is the Lamb. 24 The nations will walk by the light of that city. The kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. 25 Its gates will not be shut during the day, and there will be no night there.

26 Eles trarão para ela a glória e a honra das nações, 27 e não entrará nela coisa alguma que contamine, e cometa abominação e mentira, mas apenas aqueles cujos nomes estão escritos no Livro da Vida do Cordeiro.

26 They will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it, 27 but nothing unclean will ever enter into it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
