1 Mas agora, é isto o que Yahweh diz. Ele, que vos criou, ó Jacó; Ele, que vos formou, ó Israel: "Não temais, porque Eu vos redimi; Eu vos chamei pelo vosso nome. Sois Meus.

1 But now this is what Yahweh says, he who created you, Jacob, and he who formed you, Israel: "Do not be afraid, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name, you are mine.

2 Quando passares pelas águas, Eu estarei contigo; quando passares pelos rios, eles não te submergirão; quando passares pelo fogo, não te queimarás, nem as chamas te causarão dano. 3 Porque Eu Sou Yahweh, teu Deus, o Santo de Israel, teu Salvador. Eu dei o Egito para te resgatar, a Etiópia e Seba em teu lugar.

2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire you will not be burned, and the flames will not destroy you. 3 For I am Yahweh your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I have given Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you.

4 Visto que és precioso e especial aos Meus olhos, porque Eu te amo; por isso, darei pessoas em teu lugar e outros povos em troca de tua vida. 5 Não temas, pois estou contigo. Eu trarei tua descendência do leste, e te ajuntarei desde o oeste.

4 Since you are precious and special in my sight, I love you; therefore I will give people in exchange for you, and other peoples in exchange for your life. 5 Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and gather you from the west.

6 Direi ao norte: 'Entrega-os' e, ao sul: 'Não retenhas ninguém! Trazei Meus filhos de longe e Minhas filhas das regiões remotas da terra 7 — todos os que são chamados pelo Meu Nome, os que Eu criei para Minha glória, aqueles que Eu formei, sim, aqueles que Eu fiz'.

6 I will say to the north, 'Hand them over;' and to the south, 'Do not hold any back;' Bring my sons from afar, and my daughters from the remote regions of the earth, 7 everyone who is called by my name, whom I have created for my glory, whom I have formed, yes, whom I have made.

8 Trazei o povo que tem olhos, mas é cego, que tem ouvidos, mas é surdo. 9 Todas as nações se ajuntem e os povos se reúnam. Quem dentre eles declarou isto e anunciou eventos passados? Que tragam suas testemunhas para provarem que estão certos, que eles ouçam e afirmem: 'Isso é verdade'.

8 Bring out the people who are blind, even though they have eyes, and the deaf, even though they have ears. 9 All the nations gather together, and the peoples assemble. Who among them could have declared this and announced to us earlier events? Let them bring their witnesses to prove themselves right, let them listen and affirm, 'It is true.'

10 Vós sois Minhas testemunhas", declara Yahweh; "e Meu servo, a quem escolhi, para que conheçam e acreditem em Mim e entendam quem Eu Sou. Antes de Mim, nenhum deus se formou, e não haverá nenhum depois de Mim. 11 Eu, Eu Sou Yahweh e não há salvador além de Mim.

10 You are my witnesses," declares Yahweh, "and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe in me, and understand that I am he. Before me there was no god formed, and there will be none after me. 11 I, I am Yahweh, and there is no savior but me.

12 Eu declarei, salvei e proclamei e não há nenhum outro deus entre vós. Vós sois Minhas testemunhas", declara Yahweh; "Eu Sou Deus. 13 Desde toda a eternidade, Eu o Sou e não há quem possa resgatar alguém das Minhas mãos. Agindo Eu, quem pode mudar o que Eu faço?"

12 I have declared, saved, and proclaimed, and there is no other god among you. You are my witnesses," declares Yahweh, "I am God. 13 From this day on I am he, and no one can rescue anyone from my hand. I act, and who can turn it back?"

14 Isto é o que Yahweh diz, vosso Redentor, o Santo de Israel: "Por vossa causa, Eu enviei um exército contra a Babilônia e conduzi todos os fugitivos de lá, transformando em lamentação as expressões de alegria dos babilônios. 15 Eu Sou Yahweh, vosso Santo, o Criador de Israel, vosso Rei".

14 This is what Yahweh says, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "For your sake I send to Babylon and lead them all down as fugitives, turning the Babylonians' expressions of joy into songs of lamentation. 15 I am Yahweh, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King."

16 Isto é o que Yahweh diz — Aquele que abriu um caminho no mar e uma vereda nas águas impetuosas, 17 Aquele que conduziu o carro, o cavalo, o exército e a tropa poderosa. Eles caíram juntos, nunca se levantarão novamente; foram extintos, apagados como um pavio queimado.

16 This is what Yahweh says (who opened a way through the sea and a path in the mighty waters, 17 who led out the chariot and the horse, the army and the warrior. They fell down together; they will never rise again; they are extinguished, quenched like a burning wick.)

18 "Não penseis sobre essas coisas antigas, nem considereis as coisas de tempos atrás. 19 Vede, Eu estou prestes a fazer uma coisa nova; agora, isso começou a acontecer; vós não o percebestes? Eu vou fazer uma estrada na terra seca e correntes de água no deserto.

18 "Do not think about these former things, nor consider the things of long ago. 19 Look, I am about to do a new thing; now it begins to happen; do you not perceive it? I will make a road in the desert and streams of water in the wilderness.

20 Os animais selvagens do campo Me honrarão, e também os chacais e os avestruzes, porque Eu dei água ao deserto e rios para a terra seca, para Meus escolhidos beberem, 21 pessoas que Eu formei para Mim a fim de declararem Meu louvor.

20 The wild animals of the field will honor me, the jackals and the ostriches, because I give water in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, for my chosen people to drink, 21 this people whom I formed for myself, that they might recount my praises.

22 Mas vós não Me chamastes, Jacó; vós vos cansastes de Mim, Israel. 23 Não Me trouxeste algumas das tuas ovelhas, como ofertas queimadas, nem Me honraste com vossos sacrifícios. Eu não te sobrecarreguei com ofertas de grãos, nem te cansei com ofertas de incenso.

22 But you have not called on me, Jacob; you have become tired of me, Israel. 23 You have not brought me any of your sheep as burnt offerings, or honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with grain offerings, nor wearied you with demands for incense.

24 Não compraste cana de cheiro doce, nem derramaste para Mim a gordura de teus sacrifícios; mas Me sobrecarregaste com teus pecados, Me cansaste com tuas maldades.

24 You have bought me no sweet-smelling cane with money, neither have you poured out to me the fat of your sacrifices; but you have burdened me with your sins, you have wearied me with your evil deeds.

25 Eu, sim, Eu Sou aquele que apaga tuas ofensas por causa de Mim; e Eu não trarei à mente teus pecados. 26 Lembra-Me do que aconteceu. Vamos debater juntos; apresenta tua causa para que tua inocência seja provada.

25 I, yes, I, am he who blots out your offenses for my own sake; and I will not call to mind your sins any longer. 26 Remind me of what happened. Let us debate together; present your cause, that you may be proved innocent.

27 Teu primeiro pai pecou e teus primeiros líderes se rebelaram contra Mim. 28 Por isso, Eu profanei os líderes do santuário; entreguei Jacó para a destruição completa e Israel para humilhação extrema".

27 Your first father sinned, and your leaders have transgressed against me. 28 Therefore I will defile the holy officials; I will hand Jacob over to complete destruction, and Israel to abusive humiliation."
