1 Um ramo brotará a partir do tronco de Jessé, um arbusto crescerá da sua raiz e dará fruto. 2 O Espírito de Yahweh repousará sobre Ele, o Espírito de sabedoria e de entendimento, o Espírito de instrução e de poder, o Espírito de conhecimento e de temor a Yahweh.

1 A shoot will sprout from the stump of Jesse, and a branch out of his roots will bear fruit. 2 The Spirit of Yahweh will rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of instruction and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Yahweh.

3 Seu prazer será o temor a Yahweh. Ele não julgará pelo que Seus olhos veem, nem decidirá pelo que Seus ouvidos ouvem. 4 Ao invés disso, Ele julgará os pobres com justiça e decidirá, de forma justa, a favor dos humildes da terra. Ele ferirá a terra com a vara da Sua boca, e, com o sopro dos Seus lábios, matará o corrupto. 5 A justiça será o cinto dos Seus lombos, e a fidelidade, o cinto ao redor da Sua cintura.

3 His delight will be the fear of the Lord; he will not judge by what his eyes see, nor decide by what his ears hear. 4 Instead, he will judge the poor with righteousness and decide fairly for the humble of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked. 5 Righteousness will be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt around his hips.

6 O lobo habitará com o cordeiro, o leopardo se deitará com o cabrito, o bezerro, o leãozinho e o bezerro engordado, juntos. Uma criança pequena os conduzirá. 7 A vaca e o urso pastarão juntos, os seus filhotes deitarão um ao lado do outro, o leão comerá palha, como o boi.

6 The wolf will live with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the young goat; the calf, the young lion, and the fattened calf together, and a little child will lead them. 7 The cow and the bear will graze together, and their young will lie down together. The lion will eat straw like the ox.

8 Um bebê brincará em cima do buraco da cobra e a criança desmamada colocará a mão na toca da serpente. 9 Ninguém ferirá nem causará destruição em todo o Meu santo monte; pois a terra será cheia do conhecimento de Yahweh, como as águas cobrem o mar.

8 A baby will play over the hole of the snake, and the weaned child will put his hand on the serpent's den. 9 They will not hurt nor destroy on all my holy mountain; for the earth will be full of knowledge of Yahweh, as the waters cover the sea.

10 Naquele dia, a raiz de Jessé será como uma bandeira para os povos. As nações A procurarão, e Seu lugar de descanso será glorioso. 11 Naquele dia, o Senhor, novamente, estenderá Sua mão para resgatar o remanescente do Seu povo, que permanece na Assíria, no Egito, em Patros, na Etiópia, em Elão, em Sinar, em Hamate e nas ilhas do mar.

10 On that day, the root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples. The nations will seek him out, and his resting place will be glorious. 11 On that day, the Lord will again extend his hand to recover the remnant of his people who remain in Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and the islands of the sea.

12 Ele levantará uma bandeira para as nações e recolherá os desterrados de Israel e os dispersos de Judá desde os quatro cantos da terra. 13 Ele cessará a inveja de Efraim e as hostilidades de Judá serão eliminadas. Efraim não invejará Judá, e Judá não será hostil a Efraim.

12 He will set up a banner for the nations and will gather the outcasts of Israel and the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. 13 He will turn aside the envy of Ephraim, and hostilities of Judah will be cut off. Ephraim will not envy Judah, and Judah will no longer be hostile to Ephraim.

14 Em vez disso, eles se lançarão sobre as colinas dos filisteus ao oeste e, juntos, saquearão o povo do leste. Eles atacarão Edom e Moabe, e o povo de Amom lhes obedecerá. 15 Yahweh destruirá completamente o golfo do mar do Egito. Com Seu vento ardente, Ele moverá a mão sobre o rio Eufrates e o dividirá em sete correntes. Assim, este poderá ser atravessado de sandálias.

14 Instead they will swoop down on the Philistine hills on the west, and together they will plunder the people of the east. They will attack Edom and Moab, and the people of Ammon will obey them. 15 Yahweh will completely destroy the gulf of the Sea of Egypt. With his scorching wind he will wave his hand over the Euphrates River and will divide it into seven streams, so it can be crossed over in sandals.

16 Haverá uma estrada para o remanescente do Seu povo que voltar da Assíria, como foi para Israel na sua vinda da terra do Egito.

16 There will be a highway for the remnant of his people that return from Assyria, as there was for Israel in their coming up from the land of Egypt.
