1 "Ai dos filhos rebeldes!" — esta é a palavra de Yahweh: "Eles fazem planos que não procedem de Mim, fazem alianças com outras nações que não foram direcionados pelo Meu Espírito e, assim, acrescentam pecado sobre pecado. 2 Eles se preparam para descer ao Egito, mas não buscaram Minha direção. Procuram proteção do Faraó e buscam refúgio à sombra do Egito.

1 "Woe to the rebellious children," this is Yahweh's declaration. "They make plans, but not from me; they make alliances with other nations, but they were not directed by my Spirit, so they add sin to sin. 2 They set out to go down into Egypt, but have not asked for my direction. They seek protection from Pharaoh and take refuge in the shadow of Egypt.

3 Por isso, a proteção de Faraó será sua vergonha, e o refúgio à sombra do Egito, sua humilhação, 4 embora seus príncipes estejam em Zoã e os seus mensageiros tenham chegado a Hanes. 5 Todos serão envergonhados por causa de um povo que não pode ajudá-los, que não lhes serve de ajuda nem de auxílio, mas de vergonha e, até mesmo, desgraça".

3 Therefore Pharaoh's protection will be your shame, and the refuge in Egypt's shade, your humiliation, 4 although their princes are at Zoan, and their messengers have come to Hanes. 5 They will all be ashamed because of a people who cannot help them, who are neither help nor aid, but a shame, and even a disgrace."

6 Uma mensagem sobre as feras do Neguebe: "Ao longo da terra de tristezas e perigos, da leoa e do leão, da víbora e da serpente voadora, eles carregam suas riquezas nos lombos dos jumentos e seus tesouros nas corcovas dos camelos, para um povo que não poderá ajudá-los. 7 A proteção do Egito é inútil, por isso, o tenho chamado de Raabe, aquele que nada faz.

6 A declaration about the animals of the Negev: Through the land of trouble and danger, of the lioness and the lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they carry their riches on the backs of donkeys, and their treasures on the camels' humps, to a people who cannot help them. 7 For Egypt's help is worthless; therefore I have called her Rahab, who sits still.

8 Agora, vai, escreve isto em sua presença em uma tábua e escreve em um pergaminho, para que seja preservado como testemunho para um tempo que ainda virá. 9 Pois este é um povo rebelde, filhos mentirosos, filhos que não ouvirão o conselho de Yahweh.

8 Now go, write it in their presence on a tablet, and inscribe it on a scroll, that it may be preserved for the time to come as a testimony. 9 For these are a rebellious people, lying children, children who will not hear the instruction of Yahweh.

10 Eles dizem aos videntes: 'Não tenhais visões!' e aos profetas: 'Não profetizeis a verdade para nós! Dizei-nos coisas agradáveis. Profetizai ilusões. 11 Desviai o caminho. Apartai-vos da vereda; afastai da nossa presença o Santo de Israel'.

10 They say to the seers, "Do not see;" and to the prophets, "Do not prophesy the truth to us; speak flattering words to us, prophesy illusions. 11 Turn aside from the way, stray off the path; cause the Holy One of Israel to cease speaking before our face."

12 Porém, assim diz o Santo de Israel: 'Porque rejeitais esta palavra e confiais na opressão e no engano, e vos apegastes a isso, 13 então, este pecado será para vós como uma rachadura de muro que está prestes a cair, como uma saliência em um muro alto, cuja queda acontecerá de repente, subitamente'".

12 Therefore the Holy One of Israel says, "Because you reject this word and trust in oppression and deceit and lean on it, 13 so this sin will be to you like a broken part ready to fall, like a bulge in a high wall whose fall will happen suddenly, in an instant."

14 Ele o quebrará como se quebra um vaso do oleiro; Ele não o poupará, de modo que não se encontre, entre seus pedaços, nem um caco que possa raspar as cinzas da lareira ou tirar água de uma cisterna.

14 He will break it as a potter's vessel is broken; he will not spare it, so that there will not be found among its pieces a shard with which to scrape fire from the hearth, or to scoop up water out of the cistern.

15 Pois assim diz o Senhor Yahweh, o Santo de Israel: "Ao retornar e descansar, sereis salvos; na tranquilidade e na confiança estará a vossa força. Porém, vós não quisestes. 16 Dissestes: 'Não, fugiremos a cavalo', então, fugireis; e 'Cavalgaremos em cavalos velozes', então, aqueles que vos perseguem serão velozes.

15 For this is what the Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel says, "In returning and resting you will be saved; in quietness and in trust will be your strength. But you were not willing. 16 You said, 'No, for we will flee on horses,' so you will flee; and, 'We will ride upon swift horses,' so those who pursue you will be swift.

17 Mil fugirão da ameaça de um; e, pela ameaça de cinco, fugireis, até que sejais deixados como um mastro no topo da montanha ou como uma bandeira numa colina".

17 One thousand will flee at the threat of one; at the threat of five you will flee until your remnant will be like a flagstaff on the top of a mountain, or like a flag on a hill."

18 Yahweh ainda espera para ser bondoso convosco; por isso, Ele está pronto para ter misericórdia de vós; pois Yahweh é um Deus de justiça. Benditos são todos os que esperam Nele. 19 Pois um povo viverá em Sião, em Jerusalém, e nunca mais chorareis. Ele certamente Se compadecerá de vós ao ouvir o vosso clamor; e, quando o ouvir, vos responderá.

18 Yet Yahweh is waiting to be gracious to you, therefore he is ready to show you mercy. For Yahweh is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him. 19 For a people will live in Zion, in Jerusalem, and you will weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. When he hears it, he will answer you.

20 Ainda que Yahweh vos dê o pão da adversidade e a água da aflição, mesmo assim, o vosso Mestre não mais Se esconderá, mas O vereis com vossos próprios olhos. 21 Vossos ouvidos ouvirão uma palavra atrás de vós, dizendo: "Este é o caminho, andai nele!", quando vos virardes para a direita ou para a esquerda.

20 Though Yahweh gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, even so, your teacher will not hide himself anymore, but you will see your teacher with your own eyes. 21 Your ears will hear a word behind you saying, "This is the way, walk in it," when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.

22 Profanareis vossas imagens esculpidas, revestidas de prata e vossas imagens fundidas de ouro, vós as jogareis fora como trapo de imundície. Direis a elas: "Fora daqui!".

22 You will desecrate your carved figures overlaid with silver and your gold cast figures. You will throw them away like a menstrual rag. You will say to them, "Get out of here."

23 Ele trará chuva sobre a vossa semente, quando semeardes a terra; e haverá pão em abundância na terra, e a colheita será abundante. Neste dia, vosso rebanho pastará em amplos pastos. 24 Os bois e os jumentos que lavram a terra comerão forragens temperadas, que foram separadas com uma pá e uma forquilha.

23 He will give the rain for your seed when you sow the ground, and bread with abundance from the ground, and the crops will be abundant. In that day your cattle will graze in broad pastures. 24 The oxen and the donkeys, who plow the ground, will eat seasoned feed that has been winnowed with a shovel and a fork.

25 Do topo de cada montanha e do topo de cada colina, fluirão rios e correntes de águas, no dia da grande matança, quando as torres caírem. 26 A luz da lua será como a luz do sol, e a luz do sol brilhará sete vezes mais, como a luz de sete dias. Yahweh cuidará das fraturas do Seu povo e sarará as feridas que lhes fez.

25 On every high mountain and on every high hill, there will be flowing brooks and streams of waters, in the day of the great slaughter when the towers fall. 26 The light of the moon will be like the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be seven times brighter, like the sunlight of seven days. Yahweh will bind up the breaking of his people and heal the bruises of his wounding them.

27 Vede, o nome de Yahweh vem de um lugar distante, ardendo com Sua ira e em densa fumaça. Seus lábios estão cheios de fúria e Sua língua é como um fogo consumidor. 28 Seu respirar é como um rio transbordante que cobre até o pescoço, que peneira as nações com a peneira da destruição. Seu respirar é como um freio nos queixos dos povos que os faz perderem o rumo.

27 Look, the name of Yahweh comes from a distant place, burning with his anger and in dense smoke. His lips are full of fury, and his tongue is like a devouring fire. 28 His breath is like an overflowing torrent that reaches up to the middle of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of destruction. His breath is a bridle in the jaws of the peoples to cause them to wander away.

29 Tereis uma canção como na noite em que se observa uma festa santa, e alegria de coração, como alguém que vai com uma flauta à montanha de Yahweh, à Rocha de Israel.

29 You will have a song as in the night when a holy feast is observed, and gladness of heart, as when one goes with a flute to the mountain of Yahweh, to the Rock of Israel.

30 Yahweh fará o esplendor da Sua voz ser ouvido e mostrará a força do Seu braço em fúria impetuosa e labaredas de fogo, com vendaval, tempestade e granizo.

30 Yahweh will make the splendor of his voice heard and show the motion of his arm in storming anger and flames of fire, with windstorm, rainstorm, and hailstones.

31 Pois, pela voz de Yahweh, a Assíria será despedaçada; Ele a acertará com uma vara. 32 E cada golpe da vara do castigo que Yahweh lhes der será acompanhado com música de tamborins e harpas, enquanto Ele guerreia e luta contra eles.

31 For at the voice of Yahweh, Assyria will be shattered; he will strike them with a staff. 32 Every stroke of the appointed rod that Yahweh will lay on them will be accompanied with the music of tambourines and harps as he battles and fights with them.

33 Pois o lugar destinado à queima foi preparado há muito tempo. Na verdade, estava preparado para o rei, e Deus o fez profundo e largo. A fogueira está preparada com fogo e muita lenha. O sopro de Yahweh, como uma corrente de enxofre, a acenderá.

33 For a place of burning was prepared long ago. Indeed, it is prepared for the king, and God has made it deep and wide. The pile is ready with a fire and much wood. The breath of Yahweh, like a stream of sulfur, will set it on fire.
