1 O deserto e a terra seca ficarão felizes; o deserto se regozijará e florescerá. 2 Florescerá abundantemente e se regozijará, cantando com alegria; a glória do Líbano lhe será dada, o esplendor do Carmelo e Sarom; eles verão a glória de Yahweh, o esplendor do nosso Deus.

1 The wilderness and the Arabah will be glad; and the desert will rejoice and blossom. Like the rose, 2 it will blossom abundantly and rejoice with joy and singing; the glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of Yahweh, the splendor of our God.

3 Fortalecei as mãos fracas e firmai os joelhos que tremem. 4 Dizei àqueles de coração aflito: "Sede fortes, não temais! Vede! Vosso Deus virá com vingança, com recompensa; Ele virá e vos salvará".

3 Strengthen the weak hands, and steady the knees that shake. 4 Say to those with a fearful heart, "Be strong, do not fear! Look, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you."

5 Então, os olhos dos cegos verão e os ouvidos dos surdos ouvirão. 6 O homem manco saltará como um cervo e a língua muda cantará, pois água brotará nos lugares desolados e rios, no deserto. 7 A areia, que queima, se tornará um lago e a terra sedenta, mananciais de água. Na habitação dos chacais, onde uma vez se deitaram, haverá gramado com canas e juncos.

5 Then the eyes of the blind will see, and the ears of the deaf will hear. 6 Then the lame man will leap like a deer, and the mute tongue will sing, for water breaks out in the Arabah, and streams in the wilderness. 7 The burning sand will become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water; in the habitation of jackals, where they once lay, will be grass with reeds and rushes.

8 Haverá ali uma estrada que será chamada o Caminho Santo. O impuro não passará por lá. Será para aqueles que andam no caminho de Deus, nenhum tolo andará nele. 9 Nenhum leão estará lá, nenhuma besta feroz andará nele; eles não serão achados no caminho; porém, o redimido caminhará nele.

8 A highway will be there called The Holy Way. The unclean will not travel it. But it will be for him who walks in it. No fool will go on it. 9 No lion will be there, no ferocious beast will be on it; they will not be found there, but the redeemed will walk there.

10 Os resgatados de Yahweh retornarão e virão cantando para Sião, a alegria eterna estará em suas cabeças; felicidade e alegria tomarão conta deles; tristeza e pranto fugirão.

10 The ransomed of Yahweh will return and come with singing to Zion, and everlasting joy will be on their heads; gladness and joy will overtake them; sorrow and sighing will flee away.
