1 Israel partiu com tudo o que tinha e foi para Berseba. Lá ele ofereceu sacrifícios ao Deus de seu pai Isaque. 2 Deus falou com Isarel em uma visão, à noite, dizendo: "Jacó, Jacó". 3 Ele disse: "Eis-me aqui". Deus disse: "Eu sou Deus, o Deus de teu pai. Não temas descer para o Egito, pois lá farei de ti uma grande nação. 4 Eu estarei contigo no Egito, e com certeza te farei voltar. E José fechará teus olhos com sua própria mão".

1 Israel made his journey with all that he had and went to Beersheba. There he offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac. 2 God spoke to Israel in a vision at night, saying, "Jacob, Jacob." He said, "Here I am." 3 He said, "I am God, the God of your father. Do not fear to go down to Egypt, for there I will make you a great nation. 4 I will go down with you into Egypt, and I will surely bring you up again and Joseph will close your eyes with his own hand."

5 Então, Jacó levantou-se de Berseba; e os filhos de Israel levaram Jacó seu pai, seus filhos e suas esposas, nos carros que Faraó havia mandado para carregá-lo. 6 Eles levaram seus gados e seus bens que haviam acumulado na terra de Canaã. E vieram, para o Egito, Jacó e todos os seus descendentes. 7 Ele levou consigo para o Egito seus filhos e os filhos de seus filhos, suas filhas e as filhas de seus filhos, e todos os seus descendentes.

5 Jacob rose up from Beersheba. The sons of Israel transported Jacob their father, their children, and their wives, in the carts that Pharaoh had sent to carry him. 6 They took their livestock and their possessions that they had accumulated in the land of Canaan. They came into Egypt, Jacob and all his descendants with him. 7 He brought with him to Egypt his sons and his sons' sons, his daughters and his sons' daughters, and all his descendants.

8 Estes são os nomes dos filhos de Israel que foram para o Egito: Jacó e seus filhos: Rúben, primogênito de Jacó; 9 os filhos de Rúben: Hanoque, Palu, Hezrom e Carmi. 10 E os filhos de Simeão: Jemuel, Jamim, Oade, Jaquim, Zoar e Saul, filho de uma cananéia. 11 E os filhos de Levi: Gérson, Coate e Merari.

8 These are the names of the sons of Israel who came to Egypt: Jacob and his descendants, Reuben, Jacob's firstborn; 9 the sons of Reuben, Hanok, Pallu, Hezron, and Karmi; 10 the sons of Simeon, Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin, Zohar, and Shaul, the son of a Canaanite woman; 11 and the sons of Levi, Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

12 E os filhos de Judá: Er, Onã, Selá, Perez e Zerá, porém Er e Onã morreram na terra de Canaã. E os filhos de Perez foram Hezrom e Hamul; 13 os filhos de Issacar: Tola, Puva, Iobe e Sinrom. 14 E os filhos de Zebulom: Serede, Elom e Jaleel. 15 Esses são os filhos de Leia, que ela deu a Jacó em Padã-Arã, além de sua filha Diná. Seus filhos e filhas foram ao todo trinta e três pessoas.

12 The sons of Judah were Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah, (but Er and Onan had died in the land of Canaan). The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul. 13 The sons of Issachar were Tola, Puah, Lob, and Shimron; 14 The sons of Zebulun were Sered, Elon, and Jahleel 15 These were the sons of Leah whom she bore to Jacob in Paddan Aram, along with his daughter Dinah. His sons and his daughters numbered thirty-three.

16 Os filhos de Gade: Zifiom, Hagui, Suni, Ezbom, Eri, Arodi e Areli. 17 E os filhos de Aser: Imná, Isvá, Isvi e Beria, e Sera, a irmã deles; e os filhos de Beria: Héber e Malquiel. 18 Esses são os filhos de Zilpa, que Labão deu a sua filha Leia; e esses ela deu a Jacó, dezesseis pessoas ao todo.

16 The sons of Gad were Zephon, Haggi, Shuni, Ezbon, Eri, Arodi, and Areli. 17 The sons of Asher were Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, and Beriah; and Serah was their sister. The sons of Beriah were Heber and Malkiel 18 These were the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban had given to Leah his daughter. These sons she bore to Jacob—sixteen in all.

19 Os filhos de Raquel, mulher de Jacó: José e Benjamin. 20 E nasceram a José, na terra do Egito: Manassés e Efraim, os quais lhe foram dados por Asenate, filha de Potífera, sacerdote de Om. 21 E os filhos de Benjamin: Belá, Bequer, Asbel, Gera, Naamã, Eí, Rôs, Mupim, Hupim e Arde. 22 Esses são os filhos de Raquel, que nasceram a Jacó, catorze pessoas ao todo.

19 The sons of Jacob's wife Rachel were Joseph and Benjamin. 20 In Egypt Manasseh and Ephraim were born to Joseph by Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On. 21 The sons of Benjamin were Bela, Beker, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim, and Ard. 22 These were the sons of Rachel who were born to Jacob—fourteen in all.

23 E o filho de Dã: Husim. 24 E os filhos de Naftali: Jazeel, Guni, Jezer e Silém. 25 Esses são os filhos de Bila, que Labão deu à sua filha Raquel; e ela os deu a Jacó, sete pessoas ao todo.

23 The son of Dan was Hushim. 24 The sons of Naphtali were Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem. 25 These were the sons born to Jacob by Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel his daughter—seven in all.

26 Todas as pessoas que foram com Jacó para o Egito, que eram seus descendentes, sem contar as mulheres de seus filhos, no total eram sessenta e seis pessoas. 27 Os filhos de José que lhe nasceram no Egito eram dois. Todas as pessoas da casa de Jacó que foram para o Egito eram setenta.

26 All those who went to Egypt with Jacob, who were his descendants, not counting Jacob's sons' wives, were sixty-six in all. 27 With the two sons of Joseph who were born to him in Egypt, the members of his family who went to Egypt were seventy in all.

28 Jacó enviou Judá à sua frente ao encontro de José, para que este tomasse o caminho para Gósen; e chegaram à terra de Gósen. 29 José preparou sua carruagem e foi ao encontro de Israel, seu pai, em Gósen. Ele o viu, abraçou seu pescoço, e chorou por muito tempo. 30 Israel disse a José: "Agora já posso morrer, pois vi o teu rosto, e ainda vives".

28 Jacob sent Judah ahead of him to Joseph to show the way before him to Goshen, and they came to the land of Goshen. 29 Joseph prepared his chariot and went up to meet Israel his father in Goshen. He saw him, hugged his neck, and wept on his neck a long time. 30 Israel said to Joseph, "Now let me die, since I have seen your face, that you are still alive."

31 José disse a seus irmãos e a casa de seu pai: "Subirei e relatarei ao Faraó dizendo: 'Meus irmãos e a casa de meu pai, que estavam na terra de Canaã, vieram até mim. 32 Os homens são pastores, pois eles têm cuidado de gado. E trouxeram seus rebanhos, e seus gados e tudo o que eles possuem'.

31 Joseph said to his brothers and to his father's house, "I will go up and tell Pharaoh, saying, 'My brothers and my father's house, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me. 32 The men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of livestock. They have brought their flocks, their herds, and all that they have.'

33 Então, quando Faraó vos chamar e perguntar: 'Qual é a vossa ocupação?' 34 Respondereis: 'Teus servos foram homens de gado desde a nossa juventude até agora, tanto nós como nossos pais'. Façam isso, então vós podereis viver na terra de Gósen, pois todo pastor de rebanho é abominação para os egípcios."

33 It will come about, when Pharaoh calls you and asks, 'What is your occupation?' 34 that you should say, 'Your servants have been keepers of livestock from our youth until now, both we, and our forefathers.' Do this so that you may live in the land of Goshen, for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians."
