1 Aquele que habita no abrigo do Altíssimo descansará à sombra do Onipotente, e 2 dirá de Yahweh: "Ele é meu refúgio e minha fortaleza, meu Deus, em Quem confio."

1 He who lives in the shelter of the Most High will stay in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of Yahweh, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

3 Pois Ele te resgatará do laço do caçador e da praga mortal. 4 Ele te protegerá com Suas penas e, sob Suas asas, encontrarás refúgio. Sua verdade é um escudo e proteção.

3 For he will rescue you from the snare of the hunter and from the deadly plague. 4 He will cover you with his wings, and under his wings you will find refuge. His trustworthiness is a shield and protection.

5 Tu não temerás o terror da noite ou a flecha lançada de dia, 6 nem a praga que se alastra na escuridão ou a doença que vem ao meio-dia. 7 Ainda que milhares caiam ao teu lado e dezenas de milhares, à tua direita, tu não serás atingido.

5 You will not be afraid of terror in the night, or of the arrow that flies by day, 6 or of the plague that stalks in the darkness, or of the destruction that devastates at noon. 7 A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not reach you.

8 Tu apenas observarás e verás a recompensa dos ímpios. 9 Pois disseste: "Yahweh é meu refúgio", e fizeste do Altíssimo a tua habitação.

8 You will only observe and see the punishment of the wicked. 9 For Yahweh is my refuge! Make the Most High your refuge also.

10 Nenhum mal te sucederá, nem praga alguma chegará à tua tenda. 11 Pois Ele dará ordem a Seus anjos para te protegerem e guardarem em todos os teus caminhos.

10 No evil will overtake you; no affliction will come near your home. 11 For he will direct his angels to protect you, to guard you in all your ways.

12 Eles te sustentarão com suas mãos para que não tropeces em alguma pedra. 13 Esmagarás leões e víboras debaixo de teus pés; pisotearás leões jovens e serpentes.

12 They will lift you up with their hand so that you will not hit your foot on a stone. 13 You will crush lions and adders under your feet; you will trample on young lions and serpents.

14 Porque a Mim se apegou com amor, Eu o livrarei. Eu o protegerei porque ele é leal a Mim. 15 Quando ele Me invocar, eu lhe responderei. Estarei com ele nas tribulações; Eu lhe darei vitória e o honrarei. 16 Eu o satisfarei com vida longa e lhe mostrarei a Minha salvação.

14 Because he is devoted to me, I will rescue him. I will protect him because he is loyal to me. 15 When he calls to me, I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble; I will give him victory and will honor him. 16 I will satisfy him with the length of his days, and show him my salvation.
