Salmo de Asafe. 1 Falou o Poderoso Deus, Yahweh, e chamou toda a terra, de onde o sol nasce até onde se põe. 2 Desde Sião, a perfeição da beleza, Deus resplandece.

A psalm of Asaph. 1 The Mighty One, God, Yahweh, has spoken and called the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting. 2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone.

3 Nosso Deus vem e não se mantém em silêncio; adiante Dele arde um fogo devorador, e ao Seu redor há uma grande tempestade. 4 Do alto, Ele chama os céus e a terra para que Ele julgue o Seu povo: 5 "Reuni Meus fiéis para Mim, aqueles que fizeram uma aliança Comigo pelo sacrifício."

3 Our God comes and does not stay silent; a fire devours before him, and it is very stormy around him. 4 He calls to the heavens above and to the earth so that he may judge his people: 5 "Gather my faithful ones together to me, those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice."

6 Os céus declaram a Tua justiça, pois Deus mesmo é o Juiz. [Interlúdio]

6 The heavens will declare his righteousness, for God himself is judge.s Selahs*

7 "Ouve, povo Meu, e eu te direi; Eu sou Deus, o teu Deus. 8 Não te repreenderei por teus sacrifícios; os teus holocaustos estão sempre diante de Mim.

7 "Hear, my people, and I will speak; I am God, your God. 8 I will not reprove you for your sacrifices; your burnt offerings are always before me.

9 Não levarei nenhum touro de tua casa, ou bodes para fora do teu curral. 10 Pois todos os animais da floresta são Meus, e o gado sobre as milhares de colinas. 11 Eu conheço todos os pássaros das montanhas, e os animais ferozes do campo são Meus.

9 I will take no bull out of your house, or male goats out of your folds. 10 For every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. 11 I know all the birds of the mountains, and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

12 Se Eu tivesse fome, não te contaria; pois o mundo é Meu, e tudo o que nele está. 13 Acaso, comerei Eu da carne de touros ou beberei do sangue de bodes?

12 If I were hungry, I would not tell you; for the world is mine, and everything in it. 13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?

14 Oferece a Deus sacrifício de ações de graças, e paga teus votos ao Altíssimo. 15 Clama a mim nos dias de angústia. Eu te resgatarei e tu Me glorificarás."

14 Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High. 15 Call on me in the day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will glorify me."

16 Mas ao ímpio Deus diz: "Por que declaras Meus estatutos e tomas Minha aliança em tua boca, 17 tu que odeias a instrução e jogas Minhas palavras fora?

16 But to the wicked God says, "What have you to do with declaring my statutes, that you have taken my covenant in your mouth, 17 since you hate instruction and throw my words away?

18 Quando vês um ladrão, o apoias; tomas parte entre os que cometem adultério. 19 Entregas tua boca ao mal, e tua língua expressa engano. 20 Tu te assentas e falas contra teu irmão; difamas o filho de tua própria mãe.

18 When you see a thief, you agree with him; you participate with those who commit adultery. 19 You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue expresses deceit. 20 You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother's son.

21 Enquanto tens feito essas coisas, Eu Me mantive calado; então pensavas que Eu era alguém como tu. Mas te reprovarei e trarei à tona, diante de teus olhos, tudo o que tens feito. 22 Agora considera isto, tu que te esqueces de Deus; senão, te despedaçarei e não haverá ninguém para te ajudar!

21 You have done these things, but I have kept silent, so you thought that I was someone just like yourself. But I will reprove you and bring up, right before your eyes, all the things you have done. 22 Give this careful consideration, you who forget God, otherwise I will tear you to pieces, and there will be no one to come to help you!

23 Aquele que oferece sacrifício de ações de graças Me glorifica, e para quem planeja o seu caminho do modo correto, Eu mostrarei a salvação de Deus."

23 The one who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving praises me, and to anyone who plans his path in the right way I will show God's salvation."
