1 Rendei graças a Yahweh porque Ele é bom e Seu amor leal dura para sempre. 2 Que repitam isso os redimidos de Yahweh, aqueles que Ele resgatou do poder do inimigo. 3 Ele os reuniu das terras estrangeiras, do leste e do oeste, do norte e do sul.

1 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, and his covenant faithfulness endures forever. 2 Let the redeemed of Yahweh speak out, those he has rescued from the hand of the enemy. 3 He has gathered them out of foreign lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.

4 Eles vagaram no deserto, por terras áridas, e não encontraram cidade para habitar. 5 Eles estavam famintos, sedentos e desmaiavam de exaustão. 6 Então, nas suas dificuldades, clamaram a Yahweh e Ele os resgatou das suas aflições. 7 Ele os guiou pelo caminho reto. Então, encontraram uma cidade para viver.

4 They wandered in the wilderness on a desert road and found no city in which to live. 5 Because they were hungry and thirsty, they fainted from exhaustion. 6 Then they called out to Yahweh in their trouble, and he rescued them out of their distress. 7 He led them by a direct path so that they would go to a city to live in.

8 Que todos louvem a Yahweh por Seu amor leal e pelas maravilhas que Ele tem feito pela humanidade! 9 Porque Ele sacia os sedentos e o apetite dos famintos, e os enche com bondade. 10 Alguns se assentaram na escuridão e na sombra da morte, oprimidos em aflição e correntes.

8 Oh that people would praise Yahweh for his covenant faithfulness and for the amazing things he has done for humanity! 9 For he satisfies the longings of those who are thirsty, and the desires of those who are hungry he fills up with good things. 10 Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, prisoners in affliction and chains.

11 Isso porque eles se rebelaram contra a Palavra de Deus e rejeitaram os mandamentos do Altíssimo. 12 Ele abateu os seus corações com trabalhos pesados; eles tropeçaram e não houve quem os erguesse. 13 Assim, em suas dificuldades, eles clamaram a Yahweh. E Ele os livrou das suas aflições.

11 This was because they had rebelled against God's word and rejected the instruction of the Most High. 12 He humbled their hearts through hardship; they stumbled and there was no one to help them up. 13 Then they called out to Yahweh in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress.

14 Ele os tirou da escuridão e das sombras da morte; e quebrou as suas algemas. 15 Oh! Que o povo louve a Yahweh por Seu amor leal e pelas maravilhas que Ele tem feito pela humanidade! 16 Pois Ele quebrou os portões de bronze e cortou as barras de ferro.

14 He brought them out of darkness and gloom and broke their bonds. 15 Oh that people would praise Yahweh for his covenant faithfulness and for the amazing things he has done for humanity! 16 For he has broken the gates of bronze and cut through the bars of iron.

17 Eles foram insensatos em seus caminhos de rebelião e afligidos por causa dos seus pecados; 18 perderam o apetite por qualquer comida e chegaram perto dos portões da morte. 19 Então, na sua dificuldade, eles clamaram a Yahweh; Ele os livrou das suas aflições.

17 They were foolish in their rebellious ways and afflicted because of their sins. 18 They lost their desire to eat any food, and they came close to the gates of death. 19 Then they called out to Yahweh in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress.

20 Ele enviou a Sua Palavra e os curou; Ele os resgatou das suas tribulações . 21 Oh! Que o povo louve a Yahweh pelo Seu amor leal e pelas maravilhas que Ele tem feito pela humanidade! 22 Que ofereçam sacrifícios de gratidão e proclamem, com alegria, os Seus feitos.

20 He sent his word and healed them, and he rescued them from their destruction. 21 Oh that people would praise Yahweh for his covenant faithfulness and for the amazing things he has done for humanity! 22 Let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving and proclaim his deeds in singing.

23 Os que viajam, em navios pelos mares, para negociar além-mar 24 viram os feitos de Yahweh e as suas maravilhas nas profundezas.

23 Some travel on the sea in ships and do business overseas. 24 These saw the deeds of Yahweh and his wonders on the seas.

25 Porque Ele ordenou e a tempestade se levantou nos mares. 26 Os navios alcançaram o céu, desceram às profundezas. Suas vidas se derreteram em aflição. 27 Eles foram balançados e cambaleavam como bêbados; por fim, perderam toda a esperança de salvação.

25 For he commanded and aroused the windstorm that stirs up the seas. 26 They reached up to the sky; they went down to the depths. Their lives melted away in distress. 27 They swayed and staggered like drunkards and were at their wits' end.

28 Assim, na dificuldade, eles clamaram a Yahweh que os tirou da aflição. 29 Ele acalmou a tempestade e as ondas se aquietaram. 30 Então, eles se regozijaram porque o mar se acalmou; Ele os levou ao porto desejado.

28 Then they called out to Yahweh in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. 29 He calmed the storm, and the waves were stilled. 30 Then they rejoiced because the sea was calm, and he brought them to their desired harbor.

31 Oh! Quisera que todas as pessoas louvassem a Yahweh por Seu amor leal e pelas maravilhas que Ele tem feito para a humanidade! 32 Que elas O exaltem na assembleia do povo e O louvem no conselho dos anciãos!

31 Oh that people would praise Yahweh for his covenant faithfulness and for the amazing things he has done for humanity! 32 Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people and praise him in the council of the elders.

33 Ele transformou rios em um deserto, fontes de águas em terra seca, 34 e uma terra frutífera em um lugar estéril, por causa da maldade desse povo. 35 Ele transformou o deserto em poços de água e terra seca em mananciais.

33 He turns rivers into a wilderness, springs of water into dry land, 34 and a fruitful land into a barren place because of the wickedness of its people. 35 He turns the wilderness into a pool of water and dry land into springs of water.

36 Ele estabeleceu famintos ali, e eles edificaram uma cidade para viver. 37 Plantaram campos, vinhas e produziram colheitas abundantes. 38 Ele os abençoou, de modo que eles se multiplicaram grandemente; não permitiu que seu rebanho diminuisse.

36 He settles the hungry there, and they build a city to live in. 37 They sowed fields and planted vineyards that yielded a fruitful harvest. 38 He blesses them so they are very numerous. He does not let their livestock decrease in number.

39 Eles foram reduzidos e humilhados por dolorosa aflição e sofrimento. 40 Ele derramou desprezo sobre os líderes e os fez vaguear por lugares desertos, onde não há caminho.

39 They were diminished and brought low by painful distress and suffering. 40 He pours contempt on the leaders and causes them to wander in the wilderness, where there are no roads.

41 Ele ergueu o necessitado da miséria e multiplicou suas famílias, como um rebanho. 42 O justo verá isso e se alegrará, e todo o ímpio fechará a sua boca. 43 Quem é sábio considere tudo isso e medite nos bondosos atos de Yahweh.

41 But he protects the needy from affliction and cares for his families like a flock. 42 The upright will see this and rejoice, and all wickedness shuts its mouth. 43 Whoever is wise should take note of these things and meditate on Yahweh's acts of covenant faithfulness.
