Masquil de Etã, o ezraíta. 1 Eu cantarei para sempre as bondades de Yahweh. Proclamarei Sua verdade às futuras gerações. 2 Pois, disse eu: "A fidelidade foi estabelecida para sempre; Tu estabeleceste a Tua verdade nos céus."

A maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. 1 I will sing of Yahweh's acts of covenant faithfulness forever. I will proclaim your truthfulness to future generations. 2 For I have said, “Covenant faithfulness has been established forever; your truthfulness you have established in the heavens.”

3 "Fiz uma aliança com o Meu escolhido, fiz um juramento ao Meu servo Davi. 4 Estabelecerei seus descendentes para sempre e firmarei seu trono por todas as gerações." [Interlúdio]

3 You said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have made an oath to David my servant: 4 ‘I will establish your descendants forever, and I will establish your throne through all generations.‘”s Selahs*

5 Os céus louvam as Tuas maravilhas, Yahweh; aTua verdade é louvada na assembleia dos santos. 6 Quem nos céus se compara a Yahweh? Quem entre os seres celestiais é como Yahweh?

5 The heavens praise your wonders, Yahweh; your truthfulness is praised in the assembly of the holy ones. 6 For who in the skies can be compared to Yahweh? Who among the sons of the gods is like Yahweh?

7 Ele é um Deus grandemente honrado no conselho dos santos e temido entre todos os que O cercam. 8 Yahweh Deus dos Exércitos, quem é poderoso como Tu, Yahweh? A Tua verdade Te envolve.

7 He is a God who is greatly honored in the council of the holy ones and is awesome among all who surround him. 8 Yahweh God of hosts, who is strong like you, Yahweh? Your truthfulness surrounds you.

9 Tu governas o mar revolto; quando as ondas se levantam, Tu as acalmas. 10 Tu esmagaste Raabe como alguém que foi morto. Dispersaste os Teus inimigos com Teu braço forte.

9 You rule the raging sea; when the waves surge, you calm them. 10 You crushed Rahab as one who is killed. You scattered your enemies with your strong arm.

11 Os céus e a terra pertencem a Ti. Tu fizeste o mundo e tudo o que nele há. 12 Tu criaste o norte e o sul. Tabor e Hermom regozijam-se no Teu nome.

11 The heavens belong to you, and the earth also. You made the world and all it contains. 12 You created the north and the south. Tabor and Hermon rejoice in your name.

13 Tens um braço poderoso e uma mão forte, e a Tua destra é exaltada. 14 Retidão e justiça são os fundamentos do Teu trono. A fidelidade e a verdade vêm diante de Ti.

13 You have a mighty arm and a strong hand, and your right hand is high. 14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Steadfast love and faithfulness come before you.

15 Felizes os que Te adoram! Yahweh, eles andam na luz da Tua face. 16 Eles se regozijam no Teu nome durante todo o dia, e Te exaltam na Tua justiça.

15 Blessed are the people who worship you! Yahweh, they walk in the light of your face. 16 They rejoice in your name all day long, and in your righteousness they exalt you.

17 Tu és a sua força majestosa e pelo Teu favor eles são vitoriosos. 18 Pois o nosso escudo pertence a Yahweh; ao Santo de Israel pertence o nosso rei.

17 You are their majestic strength, and by your favor we are victorious. 18 For our shield belongs to Yahweh; our king belongs to the Holy One of Israel.

19 Há muito tempo atrás, falaste em visão aos Teus fiéis; dizendo: "Coloquei uma coroa sobre alguém poderoso; levantei um escolhido entre o povo. 20 Escolhi Meu servo Davi, e com Meu santo óleo o ungi. 21 Minha mão o sustentará; Meu braço o fortalecerá. 22 Nenhum inimigo o enganará; nenhum filho da impiedade o oprimirá. 23 Esmagarei os inimigos dele na sua presença; matarei todos aqueles que o odiarem.

19 Long ago you spoke in a vision to your faithful ones; [[ Many ancient copies of the Hebrew text have the singular " faithful one " instead of " faithful ones " . ]] you said, "I have set a crown on a mighty one." [[ The ancient copies of the Hebrew text have " I will place help upon a warrior " . Some scholars translate the word for " help " as " crown " and that is how the ULB editors have translated the word here. ]] I have raised up one chosen from among the people. 20 I have chosen David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him. 21 My hand will support him; my arm will strengthen him. 22 No enemy will deceive him; no son of wickedness will oppress him. 23 I will crush his enemies before him; I will kill those who hate him.

24 Minha verdade e minha fidelidade estarão com ele; pelo Meu nome, ele será vencedor. 25 Colocarei a sua mão sobre o mar e a sua mão direita sobre os rios. 26 Ele Me chamará: 'Tu és meu Pai, meu Deus e a rocha da minha salvação.'

24 My truth and my covenant faithfulness will be with him; by my name he will be victorious. 25 I will place his hand over the sea and his right hand over the rivers. 26 He will call out to me, 'You are my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.'

27 Também o colocarei como Meu primogênito, o mais exaltado dos reis da terra. 28 Estenderei Minha fidelidade para com ele para sempre; e Minha aliança permanecerá segura com ele. 29 Farei seus descendentes subsistirem para sempre, e seu trono durará assim como os céus.

27 I also will place him as my firstborn son, the most exalted of the kings of the earth. 28 I will extend my covenant faithfulness to him forever; and my covenant with him will be secure. 29 I will make his descendants endure forever and his throne as enduring as the skies above.

30 Se seus filhos abandonarem a Minha lei e desobedecerem aos Meus decretos, 31 se eles quebrarem Minhas regras e desobedecerem às Minhas ordens, 32 então, punirei sua rebelião com vara e suas iniquidades com açoites.

30 If his children forsake my law and do not walk in my regulations, 31 if they break my rules and do not keep my commands, 32 then will I punish their rebellion with a rod and their iniquity with blows.

33 Mas não removerei dele o Meu amor, nem serei infiel à Minha promessa. 34 Não quebrarei Minha aliança ou mudarei as palavras dos Meus lábios.

33 But I will not remove my steadfast love from him or be unfaithful to my promise. 34 I will not break my covenant or change the words of my lips.

35 Jurei uma vez por todas pela Minha santidade — Eu não mentirei a Davi — 36 seus descendentes continuarão para sempre em seu trono, assim como o sol perante Mim. 37 Ele será estabelecido para sempre, assim como a lua, testemunha fiel no céu." [Interlúdio]

35 Once and for all I have sworn by my holiness— I will not lie to David: 36 his descendants will continue forever and his throne as long as the sun before me. 37 It will be established forever like the moon, the faithful witness in the sky."s Selahs*

38 Mas Tu o recusaste e o rejeitaste; e Te iraste contra o Teu rei ungido. 39 Renunciaste à aliança do Teu servo. Profanaste a sua coroa e a jogaste no chão. 40 Derrubaste todas as suas paredes e arruinaste suas fortalezas.

38 But you have refused and rejected; you have been angry with your anointed king. 39 You have renounced the covenant of your servant. You have desecrated his crown on the ground. 40 You have broken down all his walls. You have ruined his strongholds.

41 Todos que passaram o roubaram. Ele se tornou um objeto de escárnio para seus vizinhos. 42 Exaltaste a mão direita dos seus inimigos; fizeste todos os seus inimigos se alegrarem. 43 Voltaste o fio da sua espada, e não o sustentaste na batalha.

41 All who pass by have robbed him. He has become an object of disgust to his neighbors. 42 You have raised the right hand of his enemies; you have made all his enemies rejoice. 43 You turn back the edge of his sword and have not made him stand when in battle.

44 Levaste seu esplendor ao fim; derrubaste seu trono no chão. 45 Abreviaste os dias da sua juventude e o cobriste com vergonha. [Interlúdio]

44 You have brought his splendor to an end; you have brought down his throne to the ground. 45 You have shortened the days of his youth. You have covered him with shame.s Selahs*

46 Até quando, Yahweh? Tu Te esconderás para sempre? Até quando a Tua ira queimará como fogo? 47 Oh, pensa quão curto é o meu tempo e como criaste em vão todos os filhos dos homens! 48 Quem pode viver e não morrer, ou resgatar sua própria vida do poder do Sheol? [Interlúdio]

46 How long, Yahweh? Will you hide yourself forever? How long will your anger burn like fire? 47 Oh, think about how short my time is, and for what uselessness you have created all the children of mankind! 48 Who can live and not die, or rescue his own life from the hand of Sheol?s Selahs*

49 Senhor, onde estão os Teus antigos atos de fidelidade que juraste a Davi? 50 Lembra-Te, ó Senhor, das afrontas feitas contra Teu servo e como eu suportei em meu coração os muitos insultos das nações. 51 Teus inimigos insultaram, Yahweh, e zombaram do Teu ungido.

49 Lord, where are your former acts of covenant faithfulness that you swore to David in your truthfulness? 50 Call to mind, Lord, the mocking directed against your servants and how I bear in my heart so many insults from the nations. 51 Your enemies hurl insults, Yahweh; they mock the footsteps of your anointed one.

52 Bendito seja Yahweh para sempre. Amém e amém.

52 Blessed be Yahweh forever. Amen and Amen.
