Salmo de Asafe, um cântico. 1 Damos-Te graças, ó Deus; agradecemos, pois Teu nome está perto; os homens declaram as Tuas maravilhas. 2 Quando Eu escolher o tempo determinado, julgarei com retidão. 3 Ainda que a terra e todos os que nela habitam tremam de medo, Eu sustento os pilares da terra. For the chief musician; set to Al Tashheth. A psalm of Asaph, a song. 1 We give thanks to you, God; we give thanks, for you reveal your presence; people tell of your wondrous works. 2 At the appointed time I will judge fairly. 3 Though the earth and all the inhabitants shake in fear, I make steady the earth's pillars.s Selahs*

4 Eu disse aos soberbos: “Não sejais arrogantes!” E aos perversos: “Não vos vanglorieis! 5 Não vos exalteis, nem faleis com arrogância." 6 Pois a vitória não vem do leste, nem do oeste, nem do deserto.

4 I said to the arrogant, "Do not be arrogant," and to the wicked, "Do not lift up the horn. 5 Do not lift up your horn to the heights; do not speak with an insolent neck." 6 It is not from the east or from the west, and it is not from the wilderness that lifting up comes.

7 Mas Deus é o Juiz; Ele humilha um e exalta outro. 8 Pois há um cálice na mão de Yahweh, com vinho espumante misturado com especiarias, e Ele o derrama. Certamente, todos os perversos da terra o beberão até a última gota.

7 But God is the judge; he brings down and he lifts up. 8 For Yahweh holds in his hand a cup of foaming wine, which is mixed with spices, and pours it out. Surely all the wicked of the earth will drink it to the last drop.

9 Mas, quanto a mim, anunciarei para sempre o que fizeste, cantarei louvores ao Deus de Jacó. 10 Ele diz: “Aniquilarei as forças do perverso, mas as forças do justo serão exaltadas."

9 But I will continually tell what you have done; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. 10 He says, "I will cut off all the horns of the wicked, but the horns of the righteous will be raised up."
