1 Então, o Espírito me levantou e me trouxe para a porta oriental da casa de Yahweh, voltada ao oriente. Eis que contemplei, diante do portão, vinte e cinco homens. Vi Jazanias, filho de Azur, e Pelatias, filho de Benaías, líderes do povo, no meio deles.

1 Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the eastern gate of the house of Yahweh, facing east, and behold, in the doorway of the gate there were twenty-five men. I saw Jaazaniah son of Azzur and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, leaders of the people, among them.

2 Deus me disse: "Filho do homem, estes são os homens que fazem planos de iniquidade e aconselham perversamente nesta cidade. 3 Eles dizem: 'Não é agora o tempo de edificar casas; esta cidade é a panela e nós somos a carne'. 4 Por isso, profetiza contra eles. Profetiza, filho do homem".

2 God said to me, "Son of man, these are the men who devise iniquity, and who decide wicked plans in this city. 3 They are saying, 'The time to build houses is not now; this city is the pot, and we are the meat.' 4 Therefore prophesy against them. Prophesy, son of man."

5 Então, o Espírito de Yahweh veio sobre mim e me disse: "Dize: 'Assim diz Yahweh': Como vós dizeis, ó casa de Israel, porque Eu sei o que pensais. 6 Multiplicastes os vossos mortos nesta cidade e, com eles, enchestes as estradas. 7 Por isso, Yahweh Deus diz: As pessoas que matastes, cujos corpos colocastes no meio de Jerusalém, são a carne, e esta cidade é a panela. Mas vós sereis arrancados para fora desta cidade.

5 Then the Spirit of Yahweh fell on me and he said for me to say: This is what Yahweh says, "That is what you are saying, house of Israel; for I know what goes through your mind. 6 You have multiplied the people you have killed in this city and filled its streets with them. 7 Therefore, the Lord Yahweh says this: The people you have killed, whose bodies you have laid in the midst of Jerusalem, are the meat, and this city is the pot. But you are going to be brought out from the midst of this city.

8 Vós temeis a espada, portanto, Eu trago espada sobre vós, esta é a declaração de Yahweh Deus. 9 Eu vos tirarei do meio da cidade e vos colocarei nas mãos de estranhos e trarei julgamento contra vós. 10 Caireis à espada. Eu vos julgarei no interior das fronteiras de Israel e sabereis que Eu sou Yahweh.

8 You have feared the sword, so I am bringing the sword upon you—this is the declaration of the Lord Yahweh. 9 I will bring you out of the midst of the city, and put you into the hands of foreigners, for I will bring judgment against you. 10 You will fall by the sword. I will judge you within the borders of Israel so you will know that I am Yahweh.

11 Esta cidade não será vossa panela, nem vós sereis a carne dentro dela. Eu vos julgarei no interior das fronteiras de Israel. 12 Então, vós sabereis que Eu Sou Yahweh, Aquele cujos estatutos vós não andastes neles, e cujos decretos não obedecestes. Ao contrário, tendes procedido conforme os decretos das nações que vos rodeiam".

11 This city will not be your cooking pot, nor will you be the meat within her midst. I will judge you within the borders of Israel. 12 Then you will know that I am Yahweh, the one whose statutes you have not walked in and whose decrees you have not carried out. Instead, you have carried out the decrees of the nations that surround you."

13 Aconteceu que, enquanto eu profetizava, Pelatias filho de Benaías, morreu. Então, caí sobre o meu rosto e chorei em alta voz dizendo: "Ah, Senhor Yahweh, destruirás completamente o resto de Israel?".

13 It came about that as I was prophesying, Pelatiah son of Benaiah, died. So I fell on my face and cried out with a loud voice and said, "Alas, Lord Yahweh, will you completely destroy the remnant of Israel?"

14 A palavra de Yahweh veio a mim, dizendo: 15 Filho do homem, os teus irmãos! Os teus próprios irmãos! Os homens de teu parentesco e de toda casa de Israel! Todos eles são aqueles de quem os habitantes de Jerusalém disseram: 'Eles estão longe de Yahweh! Esta terra nos foi dada como possessão'.

14 The word of Yahweh came to me, saying, 15 "Son of man, your brothers! Your brothers! The men of your clan and all the house of Israel! All of them are those of whom it is said by those living in Jerusalem, 'They are far away from Yahweh! This land was given to us as our possession.'

16 Portanto, dize: "Assim diz Yahweh Deus: 'Apesar de tê-los removido para longe entre as nações, e, embora Eu os tenha espalhalho entre as terras, mesmo assim, Eu tenho sido um santuário para eles por pouco tempo nas terras para onde foram'. 17 Portanto dize: 'Assim diz Yahweh Deus: Eu vos juntarei dentre os povos e vos congregarei das terras para onde fostes espalhados; darei a vós a terra de Israel'. 18 Então, eles irão e removerão todas coisas detestáveis e todas as abominações deste lugar.

16 Therefore say, 'The Lord Yahweh says this: Though I have removed them far off among the nations, and though I have scattered them among the lands, yet I have been a sanctuary for them for a little while in the lands where they have gone.' 17 Therefore say, 'The Lord Yahweh says this: I will gather you from the peoples, and assemble you from the lands where you were scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.' 18 Then they will go there and remove every detestable thing and every abomination from that place.

19 Eu lhes darei um só coração e porei neles um espírito novo. Tirarei deles o coração de pedra e lhes darei um coração de carne, 20 para que eles andem nos Meus estatutos, guardem os Meus decretos e os pratiquem. Eles serão Meu povo e Eu serei o seu Deus. 21 Mas para aqueles que andam com os corações voltados para as suas coisas detestáveis e suas abominações, Eu farei recair as suas obras sobre as suas cabeças, esta é a declaração de Yahweh Deus".

19 I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them. I will take out the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, 20 so that they will walk in my statutes, they will carry out my decrees and do them. Then they will be my people, and I will be their God. 21 But to those who walk with affection toward their detestable things and their abominations, I will bring their conduct on their own heads—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration."

22 Os querubins levantaram suas asas, e as rodas ao seu lado os acompanhavam, e a glória do Deus de Israel estava sobre eles. 23 Então, a glória de Yahweh subiu desde o meio da cidade e ficou no monte que está ao oriente da cidade.

22 The cherubim lifted up their wings and the wheels that were beside them, and the glory of the God of Israel was high up over them. 23 Then the glory of Yahweh went up from within the midst of the city and stood on the mountain to the east of the city.

24 O Espírito me levantou e me levou até a Babilônia, junto com os exilados, em visão pelo Espírito de Deus, e a visão que havia tido desapareceu. 25 E eu declarei aos exilados todas as coisas que Yahweh havia me mostrado.

24 The Spirit lifted me up and brought me into Chaldea, to the exiles, in the vision from the Spirit of God, and the vision that I had seen went up from upon me. 25 Then I declared to the exiles all the things of Yahweh that I had seen.
