1 No terceiro dia, houve um casamento em Caná da Galileia, e a mãe de Jesus estava presente. 2 Jesus e Seus discípulos também foram convidados para o casamento.

1 Three days later, there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 Jesus and his disciples were invited to the wedding.

3 E, tendo acabado o vinho, a mãe de Jesus Lhe disse: "Eles não têm vinho." 4 Jesus respondeu: "Por que vens a Mim, mulher? O meu tempo ainda não chegou". 5 Sua mãe disse aos servos: "Fazei o que Ele vos disser".

3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, "They have no wine." 4 Jesus said to her, "Woman, why do you come to me? My time has not yet come." 5 His mother said to the servants, "Whatever he says to you, do it."

6 Havia ali seis vasilhas de pedra usadas para a purificação dos judeus, cada uma armazenava entre oitenta e cento e vinte litros. 7 Jesus lhes diz: "Enchei as vasilhas com água". Eles as encheram até a borda. 8 Então, Ele disse aos servos: "Tirai um pouco e levai ao chefe de cerimônia". Assim o fizeram.

6 Now there were six stone water pots there used for the Jewish ceremonial washing, each containing two to three metretes. 7 Jesus said to them, "Fill the water pots with water." So they filled them up to the brim. 8 Then he told the servants, "Take some out now and take it to the head waiter." So they did.

9 Quando o chefe de cerimônia provou a água transformada em vinho, ele não sabia de onde vinha (mas os servos que haviam tirado a água sabiam). Ele chamou o noivo 10 e disse-lhe: "Todos oferecem primeiro o vinho bom, e em seguida o vinho inferior, quando os convidados estiverem bêbados. Tu guardaste o vinho bom até agora".

9 The head waiter tasted the water that had become wine, but he did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew). Then he called the bridegroom 10 and said to him, "Every man serves the good wine first and then the cheaper wine when they are drunk. But you have kept the good wine until now."

11 Este primeiro sinal, Jesus fez em Caná da Galileia, manifestando Sua glória, e Seus discípulos creram Nele.

11 This first sign Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and he revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him.

12 Depois disso, Jesus, Sua mãe, Seus irmãos e Seus discípulos desceram para Cafarnaum e permaneceram por alguns dias.

12 After this Jesus, his mother, his brothers, and his disciples went down to Capernaum and they stayed there for a few days.

13 A Páscoa dos judeus estava próxima, então Jesus subiu a Jerusalém. 14 Ele encontrou no templo aqueles que vendiam bois, ovelhas, pombas e os cambistas ali sentados.

13 Now the Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 He found sellers of oxen and sheep and pigeons in the temple, and the money changers were sitting there.

15 Jesus fez um chicote de cordas, e expulsou todos para fora do templo, incluindo as ovelhas, os bois; espalhou o dinheiro dos cambistas pelo chão, e virou as suas mesas. 16 Ele disse aos que vendiam pombas: "Tirai estas coisas daqui, e não façais da casa de Meu Pai um mercado".

15 So he made a whip of cords and drove all of them out from the temple, including both the sheep and the cattle. He scattered the coins of the money changers and turned their tables over. 16 To the pigeon sellers he said, "Take these things away from here. Stop making the house of my Father a marketplace."

17 Seus discípulos lembraram o que está escrito: "O zelo da Tua casa me consumirá”. 18 Logo, as autoridades dos judeus Lhe responderam: "Que sinal nos mostrarás visto que fazes estas coisas?". 19 Jesus respondeu: "Destruí este templo, e em três dias o reconstruirei".

17 His disciples remembered that it was written, "Zeal for your house will consume me." 18 Then the Jewish authorities responded and said to him, "What sign will you show us, since you are doing these things?" 19 Jesus replied, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."

20 Disseram, então, os judeus: "Este templo levou quarenta e seis anos para ser construído, e Tu irás levantá-lo em três dias?". 21 Entretanto, Ele falava do templo do Seu corpo. 22 Tempos depois, quando Ele ressuscitou dos mortos, Seus discípulos lembraram-se do que Ele havia dito, e acreditaram nas Escrituras e nas palavras ditas por Jesus.

20 Then the Jewish authorities said, "This temple was built in forty-six years, and you will raise it up in three days?" 21 However, he was speaking about the temple of his body. 22 After he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he said this, and they believed the scripture and this statement that Jesus had spoken.

23 Quando Ele estava em Jerusalém, durante a celebração da Páscoa, muitos acreditaram em Seu nome, pois viram os sinais miraculosos que Ele realizava. 24 Entretanto, Jesus não confiava neles, pois conhecia a todos 25 e não precisava de ninguém para testificar sobre o homem; pois Ele mesmo conhecia o que havia no homem.

23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover festival, many believed in his name when they saw the signs that he did. 24 But Jesus did not trust in them because he knew them all, 25 because he did not need anyone to testify to him about man, for he knew what was in man.
