1 Não se perturbe o vosso coração. Credes em Deus; crede também em Mim. 2 Na casa de Meu Pai há muitas moradas; se não fosse assim, Eu vos teria dito, pois vou preparar-vos um lugar. 3 E, se Eu for e vos preparar lugar, virei outra vez, e vos receberei para Mim mesmo, para que onde Eu estiver, estejais vós também.

1 "Do not let your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, I would have told you, for I am going to prepare a place for you. 3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, so that where I am you will also be.

4 Vós sabeis o caminho para onde vou". 5 Tomé disse a Jesus: "Senhor, não sabemos para onde vais. Como podemos saber o caminho?". 6 Jesus lhe disse: "Eu sou o Caminho, a Verdade, e a Vida; ninguém vem ao Pai senão por Mim. 7 Se vós tivésseis Me conhecido, teríeis conhecido também a Meu Pai; de agora em diante vós O conheceis e O tendes visto".

4 You know the way to where I am going." 5 Thomas said to Jesus, "Lord, we do not know where you are going, how can we know the way?" 6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you know him and have seen him."

8 Filipe disse a Jesus: "Senhor, mostra-nos o Pai, e isso será suficiente para nós". 9 Jesus disse-lhe: "Estou há tanto tempo convosco, e ainda não Me conheces, Filipe? Quem vê a Mim, vê o Pai; como podes Me dizer: ‘Mostra-nos o Pai’?

8 Philip said to Jesus, "Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us." 9 Jesus said to him, "I have been with you for such a long time and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?

10 Não crês que Eu estou no Pai, e que o Pai está em Mim? As palavras que Eu vos digo, não as digo por Minha própria autoridade; em vez disso, é o Pai que vive em Mim faz as Suas obras. 11 Crede em Mim, que estou no Pai, e o Pai está em Mim; ou crede ao menos por causa das mesmas obras.

10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak from my own authority, but the Father living in me is doing his work. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me, or else believe because of the works themselves.

12 Em verdade, em verdade, vos digo, que aquele que crê em Mim, também fará as obras que Eu faço, e as fará maiores do que Eu faço, porque Eu vou para o Pai. 13 Tudo quanto pedirdes em Meu nome, Eu o farei, para que o Pai seja glorificado no Filho. 14 Se Me pedirdes qualquer coisa em Meu nome, Eu o farei.

12 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me will do the works that I do, and he will do greater works than these because I am going to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it so that the Father will be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

15 Se Me amardes, guardareis os Meus mandamentos. 16 Eu rogarei ao Pai, e Ele vos dará outro Consolador, a fim de que esteja para sempre convosco, 17 o Espírito da verdade, O qual o mundo não pode receber, porque não O vê nem O conhece. Vós, no entanto, O conheceis, pois Ele habita convosco, e estará em vós.

15 If you love me, you will keep my commandments, 16 and I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Comforter so that he will be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive him because it does not see him or know him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

18 Eu não vos deixarei sozinhos; Eu voltarei para vós. 19 Dentro de pouco de tempo, o mundo não Me verá mais, mas vós Me vereis. Porque Eu vivo, vós também vivereis. 20 Naquele dia, vós sabereis que Eu estou em Meu Pai, e que vós estais em Mim, e Eu em vós.

18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come back to you. 19 Yet a short amount of time and the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Because I live, you will also live. 20 On that day you will know that I am in my Father, and that you are in me, and that I am in you.

21 Aquele que tem os Meus mandamentos e os guarda, esse é o que Me ama; e aquele que Me ama será amado por Meu Pai, e Eu o amarei e Me manifestarei a Ele. 22 Judas (não o Iscariotes) perguntou a Jesus: "Senhor, por que Te manifestarás a nós, e não ao mundo?".

21 He who has my commandments and keeps them is the one who loves me, and he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and I will show myself to him." 22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Jesus, "Lord, why is it that you will show yourself to us and not to the world?"

23 Jesus lhe respondeu: "Se alguém Me ama, guardará a Minha palavra. Meu Pai o amará, e viremos a ele e faremos nele morada. 24 Quem não Me ama, não guarda as Minhas palavras. A palavra que ouvis não é Minha, mas do Pai que Me enviou.

23 Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and we will make our home with him. 24 He who does not love me does not keep my words. The word that you hear is not from me but from the Father who sent me.

25 Essas coisas vos tenho dito enquanto ainda estou convosco. 26 Contudo o Consolador, o Espírito Santo, a Quem o Pai enviará em Meu nome, Ele vos ensinará todas as coisas e vos lembrará de tudo o que Eu vos falei. 27 Deixo-vos a paz, a Minha paz vos dou. Eu não a dou como o mundo a dá. Não se perturbe vosso coração, nem tenha medo.

25 I have said these things to you, while I am staying with you. 26 However, the Comforter—the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name—he will teach you everything and he will remind you of everything that I said to you. 27 I leave you peace; I give you my peace. I do not give it as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled, and do not be afraid.

28 Ouvistes o que Eu vos disse: 'Irei e voltarei para vós'. Se Me amásseis ficaríeis alegres, porque Eu vou para o Pai; pois o Pai é maior do que Eu. 29 Eu vos digo isso agora, antes que aconteça, para que, quando acontecer, creiais. 30 Já não falarei convosco, pois o príncipe deste mundo está chegando, e ele não tem poder sobre Mim. 31 Mas, para que o mundo saiba que Eu amo o Pai, faço aquilo que o Pai Me mandou. Levantai-vos, vamos deixar este lugar".

28 You heard that I said to you, 'I am going away, and I will come back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I am. 29 Now I have told you before it happens so that, when it happens, you will believe.

30 I will no longer speak much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no power over me, 31 but in order that the world will know that I love the Father, I do just as the Father commanded me. Let us get up and go from here."
