1 Não espalharás notícias falsas sobre ninguém, nem te ajuntarás com o ímpio para seres testemunha mentirosa. 2 Não seguirás a multidão para fazeres o mal, nem darás testemunho que perverta a justiça, para apoiar a multidão. 3 Nem mesmo para favorecer um homem pobre em sua causa.

1 You must not give a false report about anyone. Do not join with a wicked man to be a dishonest witness. 2 You must not follow a crowd to do evil, nor may you bear witness while siding with the crowd in order to pervert justice. 3 You must not show favoritism to a poor man in his lawsuit.

4 Se encontrares o boi do teu inimigo ou o seu jumento andando perdido, tu o levarás de volta para ele. 5 Se vires o jumento de alguém que te odeia caído no chão sob sua carga, tu não o abandonarás. Tu deves certamente ajudá-lo a tirar a carga do jumento.

4 If you meet your enemy's ox or his donkey going astray, you must bring it back to him. 5 If you see the donkey of someone who hates you fallen to the ground under its load, you must not leave that person. You must surely help him with his donkey.

6 Não perverterás o direito do pobre na sua causa. 7 Não farás falsas acusações, e não matarás o inocente e o justo, pois Eu não justificarei o ímpio. 8 Nunca aceitarás suborno, pois o suborno cega os que veem e pervete as palavras dos justos. 9 Não oprimirás o estrangeiro, visto que vós conheceis a vida de um estrangeiro, pois fostes estrangeiros na terra do Egito.

6 Do not thrust aside justice for your poor in his lawsuit. 7 Do not join others in making false accusations, and do not kill the innocent or righteous, for I will not acquit the wicked. 8 Never take a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see, and perverts honest people's words. 9 You must not oppress a foreigner, since you know the life of a foreigner, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.

10 Por seis anos semearás a tua terra e recolherás a sua produção. 11 Mas no sétimo ano a deixarás descansando e não a cultivarás, de tal forma que os pobres entre teu povo possam comer. O que eles deixarem, os animais selvagens comerão. Tu farás o mesmo com tuas vinhas e olivais.

10 For six years you will sow seed on your land and gather in its produce. 11 But in the seventh year you will leave it unplowed and fallow, so that the poor among your people may eat. What they leave, the wild animals will eat. You will do the same with your vineyards and olive orchards.

12 Durante seis dias, tu farás o teu trabalho, mas no sétimo dia descansarás. Faze isto para que o teu boi e o teu jumento descansem, e para que o filho da tua escrava e o estrangeiro possa descansar e renovar-se. 13 Dai atenção a tudo que Eu tenho vos falado. Não mencioneis os nomes de outros deuses, nem permitais que seus nomes sejam ouvidos da tua boca.

12 During six days you will do your work, but on the seventh day you must rest. Do this so that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and so that your female slave's son and any foreigner may rest and be refreshed. 13 Pay attention to everything that I have said to you. Do not mention the names of other gods, nor let their names be heard from your mouth.

14 Três vezes por ano me celebrarás uma festa. 15 Celebrarás a Festa dos Pães Asmos como Eu te ordenei, por sete dias comerás pães sem fermento. Naquele tempo, tu te apresentarás perante Mim no mês de Abibe, que é estabelecido para este propósito. Foi neste mês que saíste do Egito. Mas ninguém apareça de mãos vazias perante Mim.

14 You must travel to hold a festival for me three times every year. 15 You are to observe the Festival of Unleavened Bread. As I commanded you, you will eat unleavened bread for seven days. At that time, you will appear before me in the month of Aviv, which is fixed for this purpose. It was in this month that you came out from Egypt. But you must not appear before me empty-handed.

16 Celebrarás a Festa da Colheita, dos primeiros frutos do teu trabalho, do que tiveres semeado nos campos. Novamente, ao final do ano, celebrarás a Festa da Colheita quando juntares a produção dos campos. 17 Todo homem deverá se apresentar perante Mim, Yahweh, três vezes no ano.

16 You must observe the Festival of Harvest, the firstfruits of your labors when you sowed seed in the fields. Also you must observe the Festival of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in your produce from the fields. 17 All your males must appear before the Lord Yahweh three times every year.

18 Não oferecerás o sangue dos sacrifícios feitos a Mim com pão fermentado. A gordura dos sacrifícios das minhas festas não deverá permanecer toda a noite até a manhã. 19 Levarás os primeiros frutos, os melhores da tua terra, à Minha casa, a casa de Yahweh, teu Deus. Não cozinharás o cabrito no leite da mãe dele.

18 You must not offer the blood from sacrifices made to me with bread containing yeast. The fat from the sacrifices at my festivals must not remain all night until the morning. 19 You must bring the choicest firstfruits from your land into my house, the house of Yahweh your God. You must not boil a young goat in its mother's milk.

20 Eu envio um Anjo adiante de ti para te guardar pelo caminho, e para te levar ao lugar que Eu preparei. 21 Dá atenção a Ele e obedeça à sua voz. Não o provoques, pois Ele não perdoará transgressões. Meu nome está sobre Ele. 22 Se tu, de fato, obedecerdes sua voz e fizerdes tudo que Eu te digo, então Eu serei um inimigo para teus inimigos e um adversário para teus adversários.

20 I am going to send an angel before you to guard you on the way, and to bring you to the place that I have prepared. 21 Be attentive to him and obey him. Do not provoke him, for he will not pardon your transgressions. My name is on him. 22 If you indeed obey his voice and do everything that I tell you, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.

23 Meu Anjo irá adiante de ti e te levará aos amorreus, heteus, perizeus, cananeus, heveus e aos jebuseus; e Eu os exterminarei. 24 Não te curvarás aos seus deuses, adorando-os ou fazendo como eles fazem. Ao contrário, tu os destruirás completamente e esmigalharás seus altares de pedra. 25 Servireis a Yahweh, teu Deus, e Ele abençoará o teu pão e a tua água; e Eu removerei as doenças do meio de vós.

23 My angel will go before you and bring you to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites, and the Jebusites. I will destroy them. 24 You must not bow down to their gods, worship them, or do as they do. Instead, you must completely overthrow them and smash their stone pillars in pieces. 25 You must worship Yahweh your God, and he will bless your bread and water. I will remove sickness from among you.

26 Nenhuma mulher será estéril ou abortará seu bebê na tua terra. O número dos dias da tua vida completarei. 27 Eu enviarei o meu terror adiante de ti, para aqueles em cujas terras vós entrardes. Eu exterminarei todos os povos que vós encontrardes. Eu farei com que todos os seus inimigos fujam com medo. 28 Eu enviarei vespas diante de ti que expulsarão os heveus, cananeus e os heteus diante de ti. 29 Eu não os expulsarei de vossa presença num só ano, ou a terra se tornaria abandonada, e os animais selvagens se multiplicariam contra vós.

26 No woman will be barren or will miscarry her young in your land. I will give you long lives. 27 I will send fear of myself on those into whose land you advance. I will kill all the people whom you meet. I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you in fright. 28 I will send hornets before you that will drive out the Hivites, Canaanites, and the Hittites from before you. 29 I will not drive them out from before you in one year, or the land would become abandoned, and the wild animals would become too many for you.

30 Em vez disso, Eu os expulsarei pouco a pouco de diante de vós, até que sejais frutíferos e herdeis a terra. 31 Eu estabelecerei os teus limites desde o mar Vermelho até o mar dos filisteus, e desde o deserto até o rio Eufrates. Eu te darei vitória sobre os habitantes da terra. Tu os expulsarás de diante de ti. 32 Não farás aliança com eles ou com seus deuses. 33 Eles não devem viver na tua terra, ou eles te fariam pecar contra mim. Se adorardes seus deuses, isso certamente se tornará uma armadilha para ti".

30 Instead, I will drive them out little by little from before you until you become fruitful and inherit the land. 31 I will fix your borders from the Sea of Reeds to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the Euphrates River. I will give you victory over the land's inhabitants. You will drive them out before yourselves. 32 You must not make a covenant with them or with their gods. 33 They must not live in your land, or they would make you sin against me. If you worship their gods, this will surely become a trap for you.'"
