1 Davi louvou a Yahweh, com as palavras desta canção, quando Yahweh o livrou das mãos de todos os seus inimigos e da mãos de Saul. 2 Orou Davi dizendo: "Yahweh é meu rochedo, minha fortaleza e meu libertador.

1 David sang to Yahweh the words of this song on the day that Yahweh rescued him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul. 2 He prayed, "Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, the one who rescues me.

3 Deus é minha rocha; Nele eu me refugio. Ele é meu escudo e a força da minha salvação, minha fortaleza e meu refúgio, Aquele que me livra da violência. 4 Clamarei a Yahweh, que é digno de louvor, e serei salvo dos meus inimigos.

3 God is my rock. I take refuge in him. He is my shield, the horn of my salvation, my stronghold, and my refuge, the one who saves me from violence. 4 I will call on Yahweh, who is worthy to be praised, and I will be saved from my enemies.

5 Pois as ondas da morte me cercaram; as ondas impetuosas da destruição me submergiram. 6 Os cordões do Sheol me cercaram; as armadilhas de morte me prenderam.

5 For the waves of death surrounded me, the rushing waters of destruction overwhelmed me. 6 The cords of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of death trapped me.

7 Na minha angústia, clamei a Yahweh; clamei ao meu Deus e, do Seu Templo, Ele ouviu a minha voz, e meu clamor por socorro subiu até os Seus ouvidos.

7 In my distress I called to Yahweh; I called to my God; he heard my voice from his temple, and my cry for help went into his ears.

8 Então, a terra sacudiu e tremeu. Os fundamentos dos céus tremeram e foram abalados, porque Deus estava irado. 9 Das Suas narinas, subiu fumaça, e fogo abrasador saiu de Sua boca; e essas brasas ficaram em chamas.

8 Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations of the heavens trembled and were shaken, because God was angry. 9 Smoke went up from out of his nostrils, and blazing fire came out of his mouth. Coals were kindled by it.

10 Ele abriu os céus e desceu, e, debaixo dos Seus pés, havia densas trevas. 11 Ele montou num querubim e voou. Ele foi visto voando nas asas do vento. 12 Fez das trevas uma tenda ao redor Dele, ajuntando densas nuvens de chuva no firmamento.

10 He opened the heavens and came down, and thick darkness was under his feet. 11 He rode on a cherub and flew. He was seen on the wings of the wind. 12 He made darkness a tent around him, gathering heavy rain clouds in the skies.

13 Do relâmpago, diante Dele, caíram brasas de fogo. 14 Yahweh trovejou dos céus. O Altíssimo bradou. 15 Ele atirou flechas e espalhou Seus inimigos com raios, e os dispersou.

13 From the lightning before him coals of fire fell. 14 Yahweh thundered from the heavens. The Most High shouted. 15 He shot arrows and scattered his enemies— lightning bolts and threw them into confusion.

16 Então, surgiram os canais de água; os fundamentos do mundo foram expostos ao brado de guerra de Yahweh, ao estrondo do sopro de Suas narinas.

16 Then the channels of the sea were seen; the foundations of the world were laid bare at the rebuke of Yahweh, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.

17 Das alturas, estendeu Sua mão e me segurou! Ele me tirou das águas profundas. 18 Ele me resgatou do meu inimigo poderoso, daqueles que me odiavam, pois eles eram demasiadamente fortes para mim.

17 He reached down from above; he took hold of me! He pulled me out of the surging water. 18 He rescued me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too strong for me.

19 Eles vieram contra mim no dia da minha angústia, mas Yahweh foi meu suporte. 20 Ele também me levou a um lugar espaçoso e me salvou porque Se agradou de mim. 21 Yahweh me recompensou conforme minha justiça; me restaurou conforme a pureza das minhas mãos.

19 They came against me on the day of my distress, but Yahweh was my support. 20 He also brought me out to a wide open place. He saved me because he was pleased with me. 21 Yahweh has rewarded me to the measure of my righteousness; he has restored me to the measure of the cleanness of my hands.

22 Pois tenho guardado os caminhos de Yahweh e não ajo perversamente, desviando-me do meu Deus. 23 Pois todos os Seus atos de justiça têm estado diante de mim; acerca dos Seus estatutos, não me desviei deles.

22 For I have kept the ways of Yahweh and have not acted wickedly by turning from my God. 23 For all his righteous decrees have been before me; as for his statutes, I have not turned away from them.

24 Eu fui inocente diante Dele e tenho me afastado do pecado. 25 Por isto, Yahweh me restaurou segundo a minha justiça, segundo a minha pureza de coração diante dos Seus olhos.

24 I have also been innocent before him, and I have kept myself from my iniquity. 25 Therefore Yahweh has restored me to the measure of my righteousness, to the degree of my cleanness in his sight.

26 Ao fiel, Tu te mostras fiel; ao homem íntegro, Tu te mostras íntegro. 27 Com o puro de coração, Tu te mostras puro; porém, Tu te mostras implacável com o perverso.

26 To the faithful one, you show yourself to be faithful; to a man who is blameless, you show yourself to be blameless. 27 With the pure you show yourself pure, but you are perverse to the twisted.

28 Tu livras o aflito, mas os Teus olhos estão contra o soberbo para humilhá-lo. 29 Pois Tu, Yahweh, és minha lâmpada. Yahweh ilumina minha escuridão.

28 You save afflicted people, but your eyes are against the proud, and you humiliate them. 29 For you are my lamp, Yahweh. Yahweh lights up my darkness.

30 Pois Contigo, eu posso pular uma barreira; com meu Deus, eu posso saltar uma muralha. 31 Quanto a Deus, Seu caminho é perfeito. A palavra de Yahweh é pura. Ele é escudo para todos os que Nele se refugiam.

30 For by you I can run over a troop; by my God I can leap over a wall. 31 As for God, his way is perfect. The word of Yahweh is pure. He is a shield to everyone who takes refuge in him.

32 Pois quem é Deus senão Yahweh? E quem é rocha senão nosso Deus? 33 Deus é o meu refúgio e Ele conduz o justo no Seu caminho.

32 For who is God except Yahweh, and who is a rock except our God? 33 God is my refuge, and he leads the blameless person on his path.

34 Ele faz meus pés velozes como os da corça e me põe sobre as montanhas. 35 Ele treina minhas mãos para a guerra e meus braços para vergar um arco de bronze.

34 He makes my feet swift like a deer and places me on the high hills. 35 He trains my hands for war, and my arms to bend a bow of bronze.

36 Tu me deste o escudo da Tua salvação, e o Teu favor me fez grande. 37 Tu fizeste um amplo lugar debaixo dos meus pés, para que eles não escorreguem.

36 You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your favor has made me great. 37 You have made a wide place for my feet beneath me, so my feet have not slipped.

38 Eu persegui meus inimigos e os destruí. Não recuei até que eles foram derrotados. 39 Eu os devorei e os despedacei; eles não conseguiram se levantar; eles caíram debaixo dos meus pés.

38 I pursued my enemies and destroyed them. I did not turn back until they were destroyed. 39 I devoured them and smashed them; they cannot rise. They have fallen under my feet.

40 Tu me fortaleceste para a batalha; subjugaste debaixo dos meus pés aqueles que se levantaram contra mim. 41 Tu me deste o pescoço dos meus inimigos; eu aniquilei os que me odeiam.

40 You put strength on me like a belt for battle; you put under me those who rise up against me. 41 You gave me the back of my enemies' necks; I annihilated those who hated me.

42 Eles suplicaram por ajuda, mas ninguém os socorreu; eles gritaram por Yahweh, mas Ele não os respondeu. 43 Eu os despedacei e fiz deles como poeira no chão. Eu os amassei como lama nas ruas.

42 They cried for help, but no one saved them; they cried out to Yahweh, but he did not answer them. 43 I beat them into fine pieces like dust on the ground, I trampled them like mud in the streets.

44 Tu também me resgataste das contendas do meu próprio povo. Tu tens me mantido por cabeça das nações. Um povo que não conheci, me serve. 45 Estrangeiros foram obrigados a me reverenciar. Tão logo eles ouviram a meu respeito, me obedeceram. 46 Os estrangeiros saíram tremendo de suas fortalezas.

44 You also have rescued me from the disputes of my own people. You have kept me as the head of nations. A people that I have not known serves me. 45 Foreigners were forced to bow to me. As soon as they heard of me, they obeyed me. 46 The foreigners came trembling out of their strongholds.

47 Yahweh vive! Seja exaltada a minha Rocha! Seja Deus exaltado, a Rocha da minha salvação! 48 Este é o Deus que executa vingança em meu favor; Aquele que sujeita povos a mim. 49 Ele me liberta dos meus inimigos. Na verdade, Tu me ergueste acima daqueles que se levantaram contra mim. Tu me resgatas do homem violento.

47 Yahweh lives! May my rock be praised. May God be exalted, the rock of my salvation. 48 This is the God who executes vengeance for me, the one who brings down peoples under me. 49 He sets me free from my enemies. Indeed, you lifted me up above those who rose up against me. You rescue me from violent men.

50 Por isso, eu Te darei graças, ó Yahweh, entre as nações; cantarei louvores ao Teu nome. 51 Deus concede grande vitória ao Seu rei, e Ele revela Sua aliança de lealdade ao Seu ungido, a Davi e aos seus descendentes, para sempre".

50 Therefore I will give thanks to you, Yahweh, among the nations; I will sing praises to your name. 51 God gives great victory to his king, and he shows his covenant loyalty to his anointed one, to David and to his descendants forever."
