1 Quando todo o trabalho que Salomão havia feito para a casa de Yahweh estava terminado, ele trouxe as coisas que Davi, seu pai, havia dedicado para esse propósito, incluindo a prata, o ouro e toda a mobília. Ele os colocou dentro dos armazéns da casa de Deus.

1 When all the work that Solomon did for the house of Yahweh was completed, Solomon brought in the things that David, his father, had set apart for this purpose, including the silver, the gold, and all the furnishings—he placed them into the treasuries of the house of God.

2 Então, Salomão reuniu em assembleia os anciãos de Israel, todos os chefes das tribos e os líderes das famílias do povo de Israel, em Jerusalém, para trazer a arca da aliança de Yahweh da cidade de Davi, isto é, Sião. 3 Todos os homens de Israel reuniram-se diante do rei na festa, que aconteceu no sétimo mês.

2 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes, and the leaders of the families of the people of Israel, in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh from the city of David, that is, Zion. 3 All the men of Israel assembled before the king at the feast, which was in the seventh month.

4 Todos os anciãos de Israel vieram e os levitas carregaram a arca. 5 Eles trouxeram a Arca, a Tenda do Encontro e todos os utensílios sagrados que estavam na Tenda. Os sacerdotes da tribo de Levi trouxeram essas coisas. 6 O rei Salomão e toda a assembleia de Israel se reuniram perante a Arca, sacrificando ovelhas e bois que não podiam ser contados.

4 All the elders of Israel came, and the Levites took up the ark. 5 They brought up the ark, the tent of meeting, and all the holy furnishings that were in the tent. The priests who were of the tribe of Levi brought these things up. 6 King Solomon and all the assembly of Israel came together before the ark, sacrificing sheep and cattle that could not be counted.

7 Os sacerdotes trouxeram a Arca da Aliança de Yahweh para o seu lugar, dentro da sala interna da casa, o Lugar Santíssimo, debaixo das asas dos querubins; 8 pois os querubins estendiam suas asas sobre o lugar da Arca e cobriram a Arca e suas hastes, pelas quais era carregada.

7 The priests brought in the ark of the covenant of Yahweh to its place, into the inner room of the house, to the most holy place, under the wings of the cherubim. 8 For the cherubim spread out their wings over the place of the ark, and they covered the ark and the poles by which it was carried.

9 As hastes eram tão longas que suas extremidades eram vistas do Lugar Santo, em frente da sala interna, mas elas não podiam ser vistas de fora. Elas estão ali até hoje. 10 Não havia nada na Arca, exceto as duas tábuas que Moisés havia colocado em Horebe, quando Yahweh fez uma aliança com o povo de Israel, ao saírem do Egito.

9 The poles that extended from the ark were so long that their ends were seen from the holy place in front of the inner room, but they could not be seen from outside. They are there to this day. 10 There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets that Moses had put there at Horeb, when Yahweh made a covenant with the people of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.

11 Depois disso, todos os sacerdotes saíram do Lugar Santo. Então, todos os sacerdotes que estavam presentes se dedicaram a Yahweh, sem observar a ordem de suas divisões. 12 Também os levitas que eram cantores, todos eles, incluindo Asafe, Hemã, Jedutum, bem como seus filhos e irmãos, vestidos de linho fino e tocando címbalos, harpas e liras, estavam ao lado leste do altar. Com eles estavam cento e vinte sacerdotes soprando trombetas. 13 Aconteceu que os que tocavam trombetas e os cantores ministraram juntos, louvando e agradecendo a Yahweh. Eles levantaram suas vozes, com trombetas, címbalos e outros instrumentos, e louvaram a Yahweh. Eles cantaram "Pois Ele é bom, pois Sua lealdade à Aliança dura para sempre." Então, a casa de Yahweh se encheu com uma nuvem. 14 Os sacerdotes não puderam permanecer em pé para servir, por causa da nuvem, pois a glória de Yahweh encheu a Casa.

11 It came about that the priests came out of the holy place. All the priests who were present had consecrated themselves to Yahweh, not ordering themselves according to their divisions. 12 Also the Levites who were the singers, all of them, including Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and brothers, clothed in fine linen and playing cymbals, lutes and harps, and they stood at the east end of the altar. With them were 120 priests blowing trumpets.

13 It came about that the trumpeters and singers made music together, making one sound to be heard for praising and thanking Yahweh. They raised their voices with the trumpets and cymbals and other instruments, and they praised Yahweh. They sang, "For he is good, for his covenant loyalty endures forever." Then the house, the house of Yahweh, was filled with a cloud. 14 The priests could not stand in order to serve because of the cloud, for the glory of Yahweh filled his house.
