1 Estes foram os filhos de Israel: Rúben, Simeão, Levi, Judá, Issacar, Zebulom, 2 Dã, José, Benjamim, Naftali, Gade e Aser.

1 These were the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, 2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

3 Os filhos de Judá foram Er, Onã e Selá, gerados com a filha de Suá, o cananeu. Er, o primogênito de Judá, era mau aos olhos de Yahweh, e Yahweh o matou. 4 Tamar, nora de Judá, gerou Perez e Zerá. Judá teve cinco filhos.

3 Judah's sons were Er, Onan, and Shelah, who were born to him by Shua's daughter, a Canaanite woman. Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of Yahweh, and Yahweh killed him. 4 Tamar, his daughter-in-law, bore him Perez and Zerah. Judah had five sons.

5 Perez's sons were Hezron and Hamul. 6 Zerah's sons were Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Kalkol, and Darda, five in all. 7 Karmi's son was Achar, who brought trouble on Israel when he acted faithlessly in regard to what was devoted to God. [[ Some Hebrew copies spell the name: " Achan " instead of " Achar " , a name which means " trouble " . ]] 8 Ethan's son was Azariah.

9 Os filhos de Hezrom foram Jerameel, 10 Rão e Quelubai. Rão foi pai de Aminadabe, e Aminadabe, de Nasom, um líder dentre os descendentes de Judá. 11 Nasom foi pai de Salma, e Salma, de Boaz. 12 Boaz foi pai de Obede, e Obede, de Jessé.

9 Hezron's sons were Jerahmeel, Ram, and Caleb. 10 Ram became the father of Amminadab, and Amminadab became the father of Nahshon, a leader among Judah's descendants. 11 Nahshon became the father of Salmon, and Salmon became the father of Boaz. 12 Boaz became the father of Obed, and Obed became the father of Jesse.

16 Their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. The sons of Zeruiah were Abishai, Joab, and Asahel, three of them. 17 Abigail bore Amasa, whose father was Jether the Ishmaelite.

18 Calebe, filho de Hezrom, teve filhos com Azuba, sua mulher, e com Jeriote; seus filhos foram Jeser, Sobabe e Ardom. 19 Azuba morreu e, então, Calebe casou-se com Efrata, que gerou Hur. 20 Hur foi pai de Uri, e Uri foi pai de Bezalel.

18 Caleb son of Hezron became the father of children by Azubah, his wife, and by Jerioth. His sons were Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon. 19 Azubah died, and then Caleb married Ephrath, who bore him Hur. 20 Hur became the father of Uri, and Uri became the father of Bezalel.

21 Mais tarde, Hezrom, quando tinha sessenta anos de idade, casou-se com a filha de Maquir, pai de Gileade. 22 Ela gerou Segube, que foi pai de Jair, que liderou vinte e três cidades na terra de Gileade.

21 Later Hezron (when he was sixty years old) married the daughter of Makir, the father of Gilead. She bore him Segub. 22 Segub became the father of Jair, who controlled twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead.

23 Geshur and Aram took Havvoth Jair and Kenath, as well as sixty surrounding towns. All these inhabitants were descendants of Makir, the father of Gilead. 24 After the death of Hezron, Caleb went to Ephrathah, the wife of his father Hezron. She bore him Ashhur, the father of Tekoa. [[ Some translate the Hebrew to read, " After Hezron's death in Caleb Ephrathah, his wife Abijah bore him a son, Ashhur the father of Tekoa " . ]]

25 Os filhos de Jerameel, o primogênito de Hezrom, foram: Rão, seu primogênito, Buna, Orém, Ozém e Aías. 26 Jerameel teve outra esposa, cujo nome era Atara. 25 The sons of Jerahmeel, the firstborn of Hezron, were Ram the firstborn, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah. 26 Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah. She was the mother of Onam. 27 The sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel, were Maaz, Jamin, and Eker. 28 The sons of Onam were Shammai and Jada. The sons of Shammai were Nadab and Abishur.

29 The name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bore him Ahban and Molid. 30 The sons of Nadab were Seled and Appaim, but Seled died without children. 31 The son of Appaim was Ishi. The son of Ishi was Sheshan. The son of Sheshan was Ahlai. 32 The sons of Jada, the brother of Shammai, were Jether and Jonathan. Jether died without children. 33 The sons of Jonathan were Peleth and Zaza. These were the descendants of Jerahmeel.

36 Attai became the father of Nathan, and Nathan became the father of Zabad. 37 Zabad became the father of Ephlal, and Ephlal became the father of Obed. 38 Obed became the father of Jehu, and Jehu became the father of Azariah.

39 Azarias foi pai de Helez, e Helez, de Eleasá. 40 Eleasá foi pai de Sismai, e Sismai, de Salum. 41 Salum foi pai de Jecamias, e Jecamias, de Elisama.

39 Azariah became the father of Helez, and Helez became the father of Eleasah. 40 Eleasah became the father of Sismai, and Sismai became the father of Shallum. 41 Shallum became the father of Jekamiah, and Jekamiah became the father of Elishama.

42 The sons of Caleb, the brother of Jerahmeel, were Mesha his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph. His second son, Mareshah, was the father of Hebron. 43 The sons of Hebron were Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema. 44 Shema became the father of Raham, the father of Jorkeam. Rekem became the father of Shammai.

Hur 50 These were the descendants of Caleb. The sons of Hur the firstborn of Ephrathah: Shobal the father of Kiriath Jearim,

51 Salma the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph the father of Beth Gader.

52 Sobal, pai de Quiriate-Jearim, teve descendentes: Haroé, metade dos manaatitas 53 e os clãs de Quiriate-Jearim: os itritas, os fateus, os sumateus e os misraeus. Os zoratitas e os estaoleus descenderam destes.

52 Shobal the father of Kiriath Jearim had descendants: Haroeh, half of the Manahathites, 53 and the clans of Kiriath Jearim: the Ithrites, Puthites, Shumathites, and Mishraites. The Zorathites and Eshtaolites descended from these.
