1 A palavra de Yahweh dos Exércitos veio a mim, dizendo: 2 "Assim diz Yahweh dos Exércitos: 'Tenho por Sião grande zelo; tenho por ela ardente zelo com grande ira!' 3 Assim diz Yahweh dos Exércitos: 'Voltarei para Sião e viverei no meio de Jerusalém, porque Jerusalém será chamada 'A Cidade da Verdade' e o monte de Yahweh dos Exércitos será chamado 'O Monte Santo!'".

1 The word of Yahweh of hosts came to me, saying, 2 "Yahweh of hosts says this: I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am passionate for her with great anger! 3 Yahweh of hosts says this: I will return to Zion and will live in the midst of Jerusalem, for Jerusalem will be called The City of Truth and the mountain of Yahweh of hosts will be called The Holy Mountain!

4 Assim diz Yahweh dos Exércitos: "Homens e mulheres idosos voltarão a andar pelas ruas de Jerusalém, cada um com sua bengala por causa da idade avançada. 5 As ruas da cidade estarão cheias de meninos e meninas brincando nelas".

4 Yahweh of hosts says this: Old men and old women will once again be in the streets of Jerusalem, and every person will need a staff in his hand because he has grown so old. 5 The streets of the city will be full of boys and girls playing in them.

6 Assim diz Yahweh dos Exércitos: "Se isso parece impossível aos olhos do remanescente deste povo naqueles dias, será que também parece impossível aos Meus olhos?" — esta é a declaração de Yahweh. 7 Assim diz Yahweh dos Exércitos: "Eis que estou prestes a resgatar o Meu povo da terra do oriente e da terra do ocidente! 8 Porque os trarei de volta e viverão no meio de Jerusalém. Assim, voltarão a ser Meu povo e serei Seu Deus em verdade e em retidão!".

6 Yahweh of hosts says this: If something seems impossible in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also seem impossible in my eyes?—this is Yahweh's declaration. 7 Yahweh of hosts says this: Behold, I am about to rescue my people from the land of the sunrise and from the land of the setting sun! 8 For I will bring them back, and they will live in the midst of Jerusalem, so they will again be my people, and I will be their God in truth and in righteousness!

9 Assim diz Yahweh dos Exércitos: "Vós que, agora, continuais ouvindo as mesmas palavras que vieram das bocas dos profetas, quando o alicerce da Minha casa foi lançado, fortalecei as vossas mãos para que o templo seja construído. 10 Porque, antes daqueles dias, ninguém realizou colheita alguma, não havia salário para os homens nem os animais lhes davam ganho, por causa do inimigo, não havia paz para quem saía ou entrava. Coloquei cada um contra o seu próximo".

9 Yahweh of hosts says this: You who now continue to hear the same words that came from the prophets' mouths when the foundation of my house was laid—this house of mine, Yahweh of hosts: Strengthen your hands so that the temple can be built. 10 For before those days no crops were gathered in by anyone, there was no profit for either man or animal, and there was no peace from enemies for anyone going or coming. I had set every person each against his neighbor.

11 "Mas agora não será como nos dias antigos. Eu estarei com o remanescente deste povo" — esta é a declaração de Yahweh dos Exércitos. 12 "Porque sementes de paz serão semeadas; a videira dará o seu fruto e a terra dará o seu alimento; os céus darão o seu orvalho, porque farei o remanescente deste povo herdar todas estas coisas".

11 But now it will not be as in former days, I will be with the remnant of this people— this is the declaration of Yahweh of hosts. 12 For seeds of peace will be sown; the climbing vine will give its fruit and the earth will give its produce; the skies will give their dew, for I will make the remnant of this people inherit all these things.

13 "Casa de Judá e casa de Israel, vós fostes um exemplo de maldição para as outras nações. Então, hei de vos resgatar e sereis uma bênção. Não tenhais medo; fortalecei as vossas mãos!". 14 Porque Yahweh dos Exércitos diz: "assim como planejei lhes fazer mal quando os vossos antepassados provocaram a Minha ira e não voltei atrás, diz Yahweh dos Exércitos, 15 assim também planejarei nestes dias fazer, novamente, o bem a Jerusalém e à casa de Judá! Não temais!".

13 You were an example to the other nations of a curse, house of Judah and house of Israel. So I will rescue you and you will be a blessing. Do not be afraid; let your hands be strong! 14 For Yahweh of hosts says this: Just as I planned to do harm to you when your ancestors provoked my anger— says Yahweh of hosts—and did not relent, 15 so also I will plan in these days to do good again to Jerusalem and the house of Judah! Do not fear!

16 "Eis o que deveis fazer: falar a verdade, cada um ao seu próximo; julgar com verdade, justiça e paz em seus portões; 17 não planejar, em vosso coração, fazer o mal um ao outro; e não amar juramentos falsos — porque abomino essas coisas! — esta é a declaração de Yahweh".

16 These are the things that you must do: Speak truth, every person with his neighbor. Judge with truth, justice, and peace in your gates. 17 Do not plan to do evil within your heart against one another, and do not love deceptive oaths—for these are the things I hate!—this is Yahweh's declaration."

18 Depois, a palavra de Yahweh dos Exércitos veio a mim, dizendo: 19 "Yahweh dos Exércitos diz isto: 'os jejuns, ao quarto mês, ao quinto mês, ao sétimo mês e ao décimo mês, se tornarão tempos de júbilo, alegria e festivais solenes para a casa de Judá! Portanto, ameis a verdade e a paz!'".

18 Then the word of Yahweh of hosts came to me, saying, 19 "Yahweh of hosts says this: The fasts of the fourth month, the fifth month, the seventh month, and the tenth month will become times of joy, gladness, and happy festivals for the house of Judah! Therefore love truth and peace!

20 Assim diz Yahweh dos Exércitos: "o povo retornará, até os que vivem em muitas cidades diferentes. 21 Os moradores de uma cidade irão para outra cidade e dirão: 'Vamos, rapidamente, suplicar diante da face de Yahweh e buscar Yahweh dos Exércitos!'. 22 Muitas pessoas e nações poderosas buscarão Yahweh dos Exércitos em Jerusalém e implorarão pelo favor de Yahweh!".

20 Yahweh of hosts says this: People will come again, even those who are living in many different cities. 21 The inhabitants of one city will go to another city and say, 'Let us quickly go to beg before the face of Yahweh and to seek Yahweh of hosts! We ourselves are also going.' 22 Many people and mighty nations will come to seek Yahweh of hosts in Jerusalem and beg for the favor of Yahweh!

23 Assim diz Yahweh dos Exércitos: "Naqueles dias, dez homens de cada língua e nação apanharão a bainha da vossa túnica e dirão: 'Deixai que vos acompanhemos, porque ouvimos que Deus é convosco!'".

23 Yahweh of hosts says this: In those days ten men from every language and nation will grasp the hem of the robe of a Jew and say, 'Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you!'"
