1 Paulo, servo de Jesus Cristo, chamado para ser apóstolo, separado para o Evangelho de Deus, 2 o qual Ele prometeu previamente por intermédio dos Seus profetas nas Escrituras Sagradas, 3 a respeito de Seu Filho, que veio da descendência de Davi segundo a carne,

1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God, 2 which he promised beforehand by his prophets in the holy scriptures, 3 concerning his Son who was a descendant of David according to the flesh.

4 pela ressurreição dos mortos, Ele foi declarado o poderoso Filho de Deus pelo Espírito de santidade, Jesus Cristo, nosso Senhor. 5 Através Dele, nós temos recebido graça e apostolado para obediência da fé entre todas as nações, por causa do Seu nome. 6 Entre essas nações, vós também sois chamados para pertencer a Jesus Cristo.

4 Through the Spirit of holiness he was declared with power to be the Son of God by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord. 5 Through him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience of faith among all the nations, for the sake of his name. 6 Among these nations, you also have been called to belong to Jesus Christ.

7 A todos vós, amados de Deus que estais em Roma, e que fostes chamados para serdes santos: graça e paz, da parte de Deus, nosso Pai, e do Senhor Jesus Cristo.

7 To all in Rome who are beloved of God and called to be his holy people: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

8 Primeiro, agradeço ao meu Deus, mediante Jesus Cristo, por todos vós, porque a vossa fé é proclamada em todo o mundo. 9 Pois Deus, a Quem sirvo em meu espírito no Evangelho do Seu Filho, é minha testemunha de como continuamente faço menção de vós 10 em minhas orações, pedindo que, de alguma forma, segundo a vontade de Deus, eu possa visitar-vos.

8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world. 9 For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of his Son, of how continually I make mention of you. 10 I always request in my prayers that by any means I may at last be successful now by the will of God in coming to you.

11 Porque desejo ver-vos, para compartilhar convosco algum dom espiritual, para serdes fortalecidos, 12 isto é, para serdes mutuamente encorajados, através da fé de cada um, a vossa e a minha.

11 For I desire to see you, that I may give you some spiritual gift, in order to strengthen you. 12 That is, I long to be mutually encouraged among you, through each other's faith, yours and mine.

13 E não quero, irmãos, que ignoreis que muitas vezes me propus a ir visitar-vos (mas até agora fui impedido), a fim de conseguir entre vós algum fruto, como também entre os demais gentios. 14 Eu sou devedor tanto a gregos como a estrangeiros, tanto a sábios como a ignorantes. 15 Por isso, quanto a mim, estou pronto para proclamar o evangelho também a vós que estais em Roma.

13 Now I do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, that I often intended to come to you (but I was hindered until now), in order to have some fruit among you also, just as I have had among the rest of the Gentiles. 14 I am a debtor both to Greeks and to foreigners, both to the wise and to the foolish. 15 So, as for me, I am ready to proclaim the gospel also to you who are in Rome.

16 Porque eu não me envergonho do Evangelho, pois ele é o poder de Deus para a salvação de todo aquele que crê, primeiro para o judeu depois para o grego. 17 Porque Nele a justiça de Deus é revelada, de fé em fé, como está escrito: "O justo viverá pela fé".

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and for the Greek. 17 For in it God's righteousness is revealed from faith to faith, as it has been written, "The righteous will live by faith."

18 Porque a ira de Deus é revelada do céu contra toda impiedade e injustiça daqueles que impedem a verdade por meio da injustiça, 19 pois o que é conhecido sobre Deus está visível para eles, pois Deus lhes tem manifestado.

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people who through unrighteousness hold back the truth. 19 This is because that which is known about God is visible to them. For God has enlightened them.

20 Porque os Seus atributos invisíveis, principalmente Seu eterno poder e Sua natureza divina, têm sido claramente manifestos desde a criação do mundo, através das coisas criadas. Por isso, eles são indesculpáveis. 21 Pois, embora conhecessem sobre Deus, não O glorificaram como Deus, nem Lhe deram graças. Em vez disso, se tornaram tolos em seus pensamentos, e seus corações insensatos ficaram obscurecidos.

20 For his invisible qualities, namely his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen; ever since the creation of the world, they have been discerned in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 This is because, although they knew about God, they did not glorify him as God, nor did they give him thanks. Instead, they became foolish in their thoughts, and their senseless hearts were darkened.

22 Afirmando serem sábios, tornaram-se tolos. 23 Eles trocaram a glória do Deus imperecível por uma imagem com semelhança de homem perecível, bem como de aves, quadrúpedes e de répteis.

22 They claimed to be wise, but they became foolish. 23 They exchanged the glory of the imperishable God for the likenesses of an image of perishable man, of birds, of four-footed beasts, and of creeping things.

24 Portanto, Deus os entregou às paixões dos seus corações para impureza sexual, para desonrarem seus corpos entre si, 25 pois trocaram a verdade de Deus pela mentira, adorando e servindo à criatura em lugar do Criador, o qual é bendito eternamente. Amém.

24 Therefore God delivered them over to the lusts of their hearts for uncleanness, for their bodies to be dishonored among themselves. 25 It is they who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and who worshiped and served the creation instead of the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

26 Por esse motivo, Deus os entregou a paixões vergonhosas, pois, tanto suas mulheres trocaram as suas relações íntimas por outras que são contrárias à natureza, 27 como também os homens deixaram as suas relações naturais com mulher e se arderam em desejo sexual uns com os outros, homem com homem, praticando o que é indecente, recebendo em si mesmos a punição devida de sua perversão.

26 Because of this, God delivered them over to dishonorable lusts, for their women exchanged natural relations for those that were unnatural. 27 In the same way, the men also left their natural relations with women and burned in their lust for one another. These were men who committed shameless acts with men and received in themselves the penalty they deserved for their error.

28 E por haverem desprezado o conhecimento de Deus, o próprio Deus os entregou a uma mente reprovada, para praticarem coisas que não lhes são próprias.

28 And just as they did not approve of having God in their awareness, he gave them up to a corrupted mind, for them to do those things that are not proper.

29 Estão cheios de toda sorte de injustiça, perversidade, cobiça e malícia; cheios de inveja, homicídio, discórdias, fraudes e más intenções; 30 são fofoqueiros, caluniadores, inimigos de Deus, violentos, arrogantes, orgulhosos, inventores de coisas ruins, desobedientes ao pais, 31 sem juízo, desleais, sem afeto e sem compaixão.

29 They have been filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, and malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and evil intentions. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventing ways of doing evil; they are disobedient to parents. 31 They are senseless, faithless, heartless, and unmerciful.

32 Eles conhecem a sentença de Deus, de que aqueles que praticam tais coisas são merecedores de morte; mas não somente as fazem, mas também aprovam os que as praticam.

32 They understand the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death. But not only do they do these things, they also approve of others who do them.
