1 Esta é a palavra que de Yahweh veio a Jeremias, dizendo: 2 "Isto é o que Yahweh, o Deus de Israel, diz: Escreve para ti, em um livro, as palavras que te declarei. 3 Vede! Dias virão – esta é a declaração de Yahweh – quando Eu mudarei o destino do Meu povo, Israel e Judá. Eu, Yahweh, já disse isso. Pois os trarei de volta à terra que dei aos vossos antepassados, e eles a possuirão."

1 The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying, 2 "This is what Yahweh, God of Israel, says, 'Write in a scroll all the words that I have spoken to you. 3 For look, days are coming—this is Yahweh's declaration—when I will reverse the captivity of my people, Israel and Judah. I, Yahweh, have said it. For I will bring them back to the land that I gave their ancestors, and they will possess it.'"

4 Estas são as palavras que Yahweh declarou acerca de Israel e de Judá: 5 "Pois Yahweh diz isto: Ouvimos uma voz trêmula de pavor, não de paz.

4 These are the words that Yahweh declared concerning Israel and Judah, 5 "For Yahweh says this, 'We have heard a trembling voice of dread and not of peace.

6 Perguntai e observai se um homem pode dar à luz uma criança. Por que eu vejo todos os homens jovens com as mãos no ventre, como uma mulher em trabalho de parto? Por que todos os seus rostos ficaram pálidos? 7 Ah! Como aquele dia será grandioso, como nenhum igual. Será um tempo de angústia para Jacó, mas ele será livre dela.

6 Ask and see if a man bears a child. Why do I see every young man with his hand on his loins like a woman bearing a child? Why have all their faces become pale? 7 Woe! For that day will be great, with none like it. It will be a time of anxiety for Jacob, but he will be rescued from it.

8 Porque será naquele dia, esta é a declaração de Yahweh dos Exércitos, que quebrarei o jugo sobre o teu pescoço, e quebrarei tuas correntes, para que estrangeiros não os escravizem mais. 9 Mas irão adorar a Yahweh, seu Deus, e servir a Davi, a quem Eu levantarei como rei sobre eles.

8 For it will be in that day—this is the declaration of Yahweh of hosts—that I will break the yoke off your neck, and I will shatter your chains, so foreigners will no longer enslave you. 9 But they will worship Yahweh their God and serve David their king, whom I will make king over them.

10 Portanto, tu, meu servo Jacó, não temas, esta é a declaração de Yahweh, e não te espantes, Israel. Pois eu vos trarei de volta de terras distantes, e vossos descendentes, da terra dos cativos. Jacó retornará e estará em paz; ele estará seguro, e não haverá mais terror. 11 Pois Eu estou convosco – esta é a declaração de Yahweh – para vos salvar. Destruirei totalmente todas as nações onde Eu vos espalhei. Mas, certamente, não darei fim a vós, mas vos disciplinarei de maneira justa; certamente, não vos deixarei impunes.

10 So you, my servant Jacob, do not fear—this is Yahweh's declaration—and do not be dismayed, Israel. For see, I am about to bring you back from far away, and your descendants from the land of captivity. Jacob will return and be at peace; he will be secure, and there will be no more terror. 11 For I am with you—this is Yahweh's declaration—to save you. Then I will bring a complete end to all the nations where I have scattered you. But I will certainly not put an end to you, though I discipline you justly and will certainly not leave you unpunished.'

12 Pois Yahweh diz isto: "Tua injúria é incurável, tua ferida está infectada. 13 Não há ninguém para defender o teu caso; não há quem possa curá-lo, não tem remédio para a tua ferida.

12 For Yahweh says this, 'Your injury is incurable; your wound is infected. 13 There is no one to plead your case; there is no remedy for your wound to heal you.

14 Todos os teus amantes se esqueceram de ti. Eles não te procurarão, pois Eu te feri com a ferida de um inimigo e a disciplina de um mestre cruel, por causa das tuas muitas iniquidades e incontáveis pecados. 15 Por que gritas de dor? Tua ferida é incurável. Por causa de tuas muitas iniquidades, teus incontáveis pecados, Eu fiz estas coisas a ti.

14 All of your lovers have forgotten you. They will not look for you, for I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy and the discipline of a cruel master because of your many iniquities and your innumerable sins. 15 Why do you call for help for your injury? Your pain is incurable. Because of your many iniquities, your innumerable sins, I have done these things to you.

16 Então, todos os que te consumirem serão consumidos, e todos os teus adversários irão para o cativeiro. E os que te despojam, serão despojados. Todos os que te saqueiam, entregarei para o saque. 17 Pois restaurarei a ti; Eu curarei as tuas feridas – esta é a declaração de Yahweh – Eu farei isto porque eles chamaram-te: Rejeitada. Ninguém se importa com Sião."

16 So everyone who consumes you will be consumed, and all of your adversaries will go into captivity. For the ones who have plundered you will become plunder, and I will make all of the ones despoiling you a spoil. 17 For I will bring healing on you; I will heal you of your wounds—this is Yahweh's declaration— I will do this because they called you: Outcast. No one cares for this Zion.'"

18 Yahweh diz isto: "Vede! Estou prestes a mudar o destino das tendas de Jacó e de ter compaixão de seus lares. Então, uma cidade será construída sobre um monte de ruínas, e um palácio no seu devido lugar. 19 Uma canção de louvor e um som de alegria sairão deles, porque Eu os multiplicarei e não serão diminuídos; Eu os honrarei para que não sejam humilhados.

18 Yahweh says this, "See, I am about to bring back the fortunes of Jacob's tents and have compassion on his homes. Then a city will be built on the heap of ruins, and a stronghold will exist again where it used to be. 19 Then a song of praise and a sound of merriment will go out from them, for I will increase them and not diminish them; I will honor them so they will not be humbled.

20 Então, seu povo será como antes, e sua comunidade será estabelecida diante de mim, quando Eu punir todos aqueles que, agora, os atormentam. 21 Seu príncipe procederá deles. Ele virá do meio deles, e o farei aproximar-se, e ele se chegará a Mim; se Eu não fizer isto, quem se atreverá a chegar perto de Mim? – Esta é a declaração de Yahweh. 22 E vós sereis Meu povo, e Eu serei vosso Deus.

20 Then their people will be like before, and their assembly will be established before me when I punish all the ones who are now tormenting them. 21 Their leader will come from among them. He will emerge from their midst when I draw him near and when he approaches me. If I do not do this, who would dare come close to me?—this is Yahweh's declaration. 22 Then you will be my people, and I will be your God.

23 Vede! A tempestade de Yahweh, sua fúria, já foi liberada. É uma tempestade contínua, e isso cairá na cabeça dos ímpios. 24 A ira de Yahweh não retornará até que tenham se cumprido todos os propósitos de Seu coração. Nos últimos dias, entendereis isto."

23 See, the tempest of Yahweh, his fury, has gone out. It is a continual tempest. It will whirl on the heads of the wicked people. 24 Yahweh's wrath will not return until it has carried out and brought into being his heart's intentions. In the final days, you will understand it."
