1 Então, os líderes das famílias de seus antepassados, do clã de Gileade, filho de Maquir, filho de Manassés dos clãs dos descendentes de José, aproximaram-se e falaram diante de Moisés e dos líderes, que eram príncipes e chefes de famílias do povo de Israel. 2 Eles disseram: "Yahweh te ordenou, nosso mestre, compartilhar uma parte da terra, por porção ao povo de Israel. Tu fostes ordenado por Yahweh, para dar a parte de Zelofeade, nosso irmão, para suas filhas.

1 Then the leaders of the ancestors' families of the clan of Gilead son of Makir (who was Manasseh's son), who were from the clans of the descendants of Joseph, came and spoke before Moses and before the leaders who were the heads of the ancestor's families of the people of Israel. 2 They said, "Yahweh commanded you, our master, to give a share of land by lot to the people of Israel. You were commanded by Yahweh to give the share of Zelophehad our brother to his daughters.

3 Mas, se elas se casarem com homens de outras tribos, entre o povo de Israel, então, a porção da terra será removida da parte de nosso antepassado. E será acrescentada como parte da tribo a que se unirem. Neste caso, a parte será removida e diminuída de nossa herança. 4 E, quando chegar o ano do Jubileu do povo de Israel, a parte delas será somada à herança da tribo a que pertencerem. Assim, a parte delas será tirada da herança da tribo de nossos antepassados".

3 But if his daughters marry men in another tribe of the people of Israel, then their share of land will be removed from our ancestor's share. It will be added to the share of the tribes that they join. In that case, it will be removed from the assigned share of our inheritance. 4 In that case, when the year of Jubilee of the people of Israel comes, then their share will be joined to the share of the tribe that they have joined. In this way, their share will be taken away from the share of our ancestors' tribe."

5 Moisés deu uma ordem ao povo de Israel, pela palavra de Yahweh. Ele disse: "O que a tribo dos descendentes de José diz está certo. 6 Isto é o que Yahweh ordenou a respeito das filhas de Zelofeade. Ele disse: 'Que elas se casem com quem escolherem, mas devem se casar somente com os da tribo de seu pai'.

5 So Moses gave a command to the people of Israel, at Yahweh's word. He said, "What the tribe of Joseph's descendants says is right. 6 This is what Yahweh commands concerning Zelophehad's daughters. He says, 'Let them be married to whom they think best, but they must marry only within the tribal clan of their father.'

7 Nenhuma herança do povo de Israel deve mudar de uma tribo para outra. Cada tribo do povo de Israel continuará com a herança da tribo de seu antepassado.

7 No share of the people of Israel must change from one tribe to another. Each one of the people of Israel must continue with the share of his ancestor's tribe.

8 Cada mulher do povo de Israel que possuir herança de sua tribo, deve casar-se com alguém da família da tribo de seu pai. Assim, cada um entre o povo de Israel conservará herança de seus antepassados. 9 E nenhuma herança mudará de mãos, de uma tribo para outra. Cada uma das tribos do povo de Israel deve preservar a sua herança".

8 Every woman of the people of Israel who owns a share in her tribe must marry someone from the clans belonging to her father's tribe. This is so that everyone of the people of Israel may own an inheritance from his ancestors. 9 No share may change hands from one tribe to another. Everyone of the tribes of the people of Israel must keep his own inheritance."

10 Assim, as filhas de Zelofeade fizeram como Yaweh havia ordenado a Moisés; 11 Macla, Tirza, Holga, Milca e Noa, filhas de Zelofeade, casaram-se com os descendentes de Manassés. 12 Casaram-se com familiares dos filhos de Manassés, filho de José. Dessa forma, a herança delas continuou na tribo do clã de seu pai.

10 So Zelophehad's daughters did as Yahweh had commanded Moses. 11 Mahlah, Tirzah, Hoglah, Milkah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, married descendants of Manasseh. 12 They married into the clans of the descendants of Manasseh son of Joseph. In this way, their inheritances remained in the tribe to which their father's clan belonged.

13 São essas as ordens e as leis que Yahweh deu ao povo de Israel, por intermédio de Moisés, nas planícies de Moabe, junto ao Jordão, em Jericó.

13 These are the commands and the decrees that Yahweh gave by Moses to the people of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.
