1 Moisés falou aos líderes das tribos do povo de Israel, dizendo: "Isto é o que Yahweh ordenou. 2 Quando alguém fizer um voto a Yahweh, ou fizer um juramento ligado a uma promessa, não quebrará a sua palavra. Manterá sua promessa para fazer tudo o que disser.

1 Moses spoke to the leaders of the tribes of the people of Israel. He said, "This is what Yahweh has commanded. 2 When a man makes a vow to Yahweh, or swears an oath to bind himself with a binding promise, he must not break his word. He must keep his promise to do everything that comes out of his mouth.

3 Quando uma jovem mulher, vivendo na casa de seu pai, fizer um voto a Yahweh e obrigar-se ao voto pela promessa, 4 e seu pai ouvir o voto e a promessa pela qual ela se obrigou, e se ele não disser nada em contrário, então os votos dela permanecerão válidos. Toda a promessa pela qual ela se obrigou permanecerá válida.

3 When a young woman living in her father's house makes a vow to Yahweh and binds herself with a promise, while within the house of her father, 4 if her father hears the vow and the promise by which she has bound herself, and if he says nothing to reverse her, then all her vows will remain in force, and every pledge by which she has bound herself will stand.

5 Se o seu pai ouvir o seu voto ou a promessa, e não lhe disser nada em contrário, então todos os votos ou promessas que ela tiver feito permanecerão válidos.

5 But if her father overrules her when he hears about it, none of her vows or the pledges by which she obligated herself will stand; Yahweh will release her because her father has forbidden her.

6 Contudo, se ela casar-se enquanto estiver sob os votos ou promessas de seus lábios, pelos quais se comprometeu, 7 e o seu marido souber disso e não disser coisa alguma quando ouvi-la, então os votos e obrigações com os quais se comprometeu continuarão válidos.

6 If she marries a husband after she makes a vow or her lips uttered a rash promise by which she has bound herself, 7 and her husband hears about it but says nothing to her, then her vows will stand, and the pledges by which she bound herself will stand.

8 Mas se o marido desaprová-la quando a ouvir, então ele cancelará os votos que ela tiver feito, a fala precipitada dos seus lábios pela qual ela se obrigou. Yahweh a liberará.

8 But if her husband stops her on the day that he hears about it, then he cancels the vow that she has made, the rash talk of her lips with which she has bound herself, and Yahweh will release her.

9 Mas sobre a viúva ou a mulher divorciada, toda obrigação assumida por elas permanecerá válida contra ambas. 10 E se uma mulher casada fizer um voto, se ela se obrigar à promessa com juramento, 11 e seu marido ficar sabendo disso e não desautorizá-la, se não cancelar o seu voto, então todos os seus votos serão válidos. Toda promessa pela qual ela se vinculou permanece válida.

9 But any vow of a widow or a divorced woman will stand against her. 10 If a woman made a vow in her husband's house or bound herself by a pledge with an oath, 11 and her husband hears of it but he says nothing to her and he does oppose her, then all her vows will stand, and every pledge by which she bound herself will stand.

12 Mas se o marido, quando a ouvir, cancelar o que ela prometeu, então o que quer que seja, que terá sido dito pelos lábios dela, sobre os seus votos ou promessas não terá validade. Seu marido os terá cancelado. Yahweh a liberará.

12 But if her husband cancels them on the day that he heard about them, then whatever came out of her lips about her vows or promises will not stand. Her husband has canceled them, and Yahweh will release her.

13 Todo voto ou promessa que uma mulher fizer e que a force a negar alguma coisa, pode ser confirmado ou cancelado pelo seu marido. 14 Mas se ele não desautorizá-la no seu dia a dia, então, com isto, ele confirmará todas os votos e promessas que ela tiver feito. Ele as confirmou porque não lhe disse nada no tempo em que ele as ouviu sendo feitas.

13 Any vow and any binding oath to afflict her, her husband may make it stand or her husband may cancel it. 14 But if her husband says nothing to her from day to day, then he confirms all her vows and binding promises that she has made, and they will stand, because he has said nothing to her on the day that he heard of them.

15 E se o seu marido tentar cancelar os votos da sua esposa muito tempo depois de ter ouvido essas promessas, então ele será responsável pelo pecado dela. 16 Estes são os estatutos que Yahweh ordenou a Moisés para lhes anunciar; estatutos estabelecidos entre um homem e sua esposa, e entre o pai e a sua filha, quando ela ainda está na sua juventude e na casa do seu pai.

15 If her husband cancels his wife's vow after he has heard about them, then he will be responsible for her guilt." 16 These are the statutes that Yahweh commanded Moses to announce—statutes for what is between a man and his wife and between a father and his daughter when she is in her youth in her father's family.
