1 Yahweh falou a Moisés na Tenda do Encontro no deserto do Sinai, no primeiro dia do segundo mês durante o segundo ano após o povo de Israel ter saído da terra do Egito. Yahweh disse: 2 "Realiza um censo de todos os homens de Israel, conforme cada clã, de acordo com a família de seus pais. Conta nominalmente, homem por homem, 3 todos aqueles que tiverem de vinte anos de idade para cima, que são aptos a lutarem como soldados por Israel. Tu e Arão registrareis o número de homens de acordo com grupo armado.

1 Yahweh spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting in the wilderness of Sinai. This happened on the first day of the second month during the second year after the people of Israel had come out from the land of Egypt. Yahweh said, 2 "Conduct a census of all the men of Israel in each clan, in their fathers' families. Count them by name. Count every male, each man 3 who is twenty years old or older. Count all who can fight as soldiers for Israel. You and Aaron must record the number of men in their armed groups.

4 Um homem de cada tribo, o cabeça do clã, deve servir convosco como o líder de sua tribo. Cada um deverá liderar os homens que lutarão por sua tribo. 5 Estes são os nomes dos líderes que lutarão convosco: da tribo de Rúben, Elizur, filho de Sedeur; 6 da tribo de Simeão, Selumiel, filho de Zurisadai;

4 A man from each tribe, a clan head, must serve with you as his tribe's leader. Each leader must lead the men who will fight for his tribe. 5 These are the names of the leaders who must fight with you: From the tribe of Reuben, Elizur son of Shedeur; 6 from the tribe of Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai;

7 da tribo de Judá, Nasom, filho de Aminadabe; 8 da tribo de Issacar, Netanel, filho de Zuar; 9 da tribo de Zebulom, Eliabe, filho de Helom;

7 from the tribe of Judah, Nahshon son of Amminadab; 8 from the tribe of Issachar, Nethanel son of Zuar; 9 from the tribe of Zebulun, Eliab son of Helon;

10 da tribo de Efraim, filho de José, Elisama, filho de Amiúde; da tribo de Manassés, Gamaliel, filho de Pedazur; 11 da tribo de Benjamim, Abidã, filho de Gideoni;

10 from the tribe of Ephraim son of Joseph, Elishama son of Ammihud; from the tribe of Manasseh, Gamaliel son of Pedahzur; 11 from the tribe of Benjamin, Abidan son of Gideoni;

12 da tribo de Dã, Aiezer, filho de Amisadai; 13 da tribo de Aser, Pagiel, filho de Ocrã; 14 da tribo de Gade, Eliasafe, filho de Deuel; 15 e, da tribo de Naftali, Airá, filho de Enã".

12 from the tribe of Dan, Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai; 13 from the tribe of Asher, Pagiel son of Okran; 14 from the tribe of Gad, Eliasaph son of Deuel; 15 and from the tribe of Naphtali, Ahira son of Enan."\m

16 Esses foram os homens escolhidos pelo povo. Eles lideraram as tribos de seus antepassados. Eles foram os líderes dos clãs em Israel.

16 These were the men appointed from the people. They led their ancestors' tribes. They were the leaders of the clans in Israel.

17 Moisés e Arão convocaram esses homens, que foram designados pelos seus nomes, 18 e, junto a eles, reuniram todos os homens de Israel, no primeiro dia do segundo mês. Depois, cada homem de vinte anos de idade para cima identificou seu antepassado, nomeando os clãs e as famílias descendentes de seus antepassados. 19 Então, Moisés registrou seus números no deserto do Sinai, como Yahweh lhe ordenara.

17 Moses and Aaron took these men, who were recorded by name, 18 and along with these men they assembled all the men of Israel on the first day of the second month. Then each man twenty years old and older identified his ancestry. He had to name the clans and families descended from his ancestors. 19 Then Moses recorded their numbers in the wilderness of Sinai, as Yahweh had commanded him to do.

20 Dos descendentes de Rúben, o primogênito de Israel, foram contados os nomes de todo homem de vinte anos de idade para cima apto a ir para a guerra, dos registros de seus clãs antepassados e famílias. 21 Foram contados quarenta e seis mil e quinhentos homens da tribo de Rúben.

20 From the descendants of Reuben, Israel's firstborn, were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families. 21 They counted 46,500 men from the tribe of Reuben.

22 Dos descendentes de Simeão, foram contados todos os nomes de cada homem de vinte anos de idade para cima apto a ir para a guerra, dos registros dos clãs e das famílias de seus antepassados. 23 Foram contados cinquenta e nove mil e trezentos homens da tribo de Simeão.

22 From the descendants of Simeon were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families. 23 They counted 59,300 men from the tribe of Simeon.

24 Dos descendentes de Gade, foram contados os nomes de todo homem de vinte anos de idade para cima apto a ir para a guerra, dos registros de seus clãs antepassados e famílias. 25 Foram contados quarenta e cinco mil seiscentos e cinquenta homens da tribo de Gade.

24 From the descendants of Gad were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families. 25 They counted 45,650 men from the tribe of Gad.

26 Dos descendentes de Judá, foram contados os nomes de todo homem de vinte anos de idade para cima apto a ir para a guerra, dos registros de seus clãs antepassados e famílias. 27 Foram contados setenta e quatro mil e seiscentos homens da tribo de Judá.

26 From the descendants of Judah were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families. 27 They counted 74,600 men from the tribe of Judah.

28 Dos descendentes de Issacar, foram contados os nomes de todo homem de vinte anos de idade para cima apto a ir para a guerra, dos registros de seus clãs antepassados e famílias. 29 Foram contados cinquenta e quatro mil e quatrocentos homens da tribo de Issacar.

28 From the descendants of Issachar were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families. 29 They counted 54,400 men from the tribe of Issachar.

30 Dos descendentes de Zebulom, foram contados os nomes de todo homem de vinte anos de idade para cima apto a ir para a guerra, dos registros de seus clãs antepassados e famílias. 31 Foram contados cinquenta e sete mil e quatrocentos homens da tribo de Zebulom.

30 From the descendants of Zebulun were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families. 31 They counted 57,400 men from the tribe of Zebulun.

32 Dos descendentes de Efraim, filho de José, foram contados os nomes de todo homem de vinte anos de idade para cima apto a ir para a guerra, dos registros de seus clãs antepassados e famílias. 33 Foram contados quarenta mil e quinhentos homens da tribo de Efraim.

32 From the descendants of Ephraim son of Joseph were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families. 33 They counted 40,500 men from the tribe of Ephraim.

34 Dos descendentes de Manassés, filho de José, foram contados os nomes de todo homem de vinte anos de idade para cima apto a ir para a guerra, dos registros de seus clãs antepassados e famílias. 35 Foram contados trinta e dois mil e duzentos homens da tribo de Manassés.

34 From the descendants of Manasseh son of Joseph were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families. 35 They counted 32,200 men from the tribe of Manasseh.

36 Dos descendentes de Benjamim, foram contados os nomes de todo homem de vinte anos de idade para cima apto a ir para a guerra, dos registros de seus clãs antepassados e famílias. 37 Foram contados trinta e cinco mil e quatrocentos homens da tribo de Benjamim.

36 From the descendants of Benjamin were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families. 37 They counted 35,400 men from the tribe of Benjamin.

38 Dos descendentes de Dã, foram contados os nomes de todo homem de vinte anos de idade para cima apto a ir para a guerra, dos registros de seus clãs antepassados e famílias. 39 Foram contados sessenta e dois mil e setecentos homens da tribo de Dã.

38 From the descendants of Dan were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families. 39 They counted 62,700 from the tribe of Dan.

40 Dos descendentes de Aser, foram contados os nomes de todo homem de vinte anos de idade para cima apto a ir para a guerra, dos registros dos clãs e das famílias de seus antepassados. 41 contados quarenta e um mil e quinhentos homens da tribo de Aser.

40 From the descendants of Asher were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families. 41 They counted 41,500 men from the tribe of Asher.

42 Dos descendentes de Naftali, foram contados os nomes de todo homem de vinte anos de idade para cima apto a ir para a guerra, dos registros dos clãs e das famílias de seus antepassados. 43 Foram contados cinquenta e três mil e quatrocentos homens da tribo de Naftali.

42 From the descendants of Naphtali were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families. 43 They counted 53,400 from the tribe of Naphtali.

44 Moisés e Arão contaram todos esses homens, junto aos doze homens que estavam liderando as doze tribos de Israel. 45 Então, todos os homens de Israel de vinte anos de idade para cima, todos os que poderiam lutar na guerra, foram contados em cada uma de suas famílias. 46 Foram contados seiscentos e três mil quinhentos e cinquenta homens.

44 Moses and Aaron counted all these men, together with the twelve men who were leading the twelve tribes of Israel. 45 So all the men of Israel from twenty years old and older, all who could fight in war, were counted in each of their families. 46 They counted 603,550 men.

47 Mas os homens que eram descendentes de Levi não foram contados, 48 porque Yahweh dissera a Moisés: 49 "Tu não contarás a tribo de Levi, nem levantarás o censo deles entre os filhos de Israel.

47 But the men who were descended from Levi were not counted, 48 because Yahweh had said to Moses, 49 "You must not count the tribe of Levi or include them in the total of the people of Israel.

50 Em vez disso, encarregarás os levitas de cuidar do Tabernáculo do Testemunho, cuidando de todas as suas mobílias e de tudo que nele há. Eles transportarão o Tabernáculo e as suas mobílias, cuidarão dele e acamparão ao seu redor.

50 Instead, assign the Levites to care for the tabernacle of the covenant decrees, and to care for all the furnishings in the tabernacle and for everything in it. The Levites must carry the tabernacle, and they must carry the tabernacle's furnishings. They must care for the tabernacle and make their camp around it.

51 Quando o Tabernáculo tiver que ser transportado para outro lugar, os levitas o desarmarão. Quando o Tabernáculo tiver de ser armado, os levitas o farão. Qualquer estranho que chegar perto do Tabernáculo será morto. 52 Quando o povo de Israel montar suas tendas, cada homem o fará perto da bandeira que pertence ao seu grupo armado.

51 When the tabernacle is to move to another place, the Levites must take it down. When the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites must set it up. Any stranger who comes near the tabernacle must be killed. 52 When the people of Israel set up their tents, each man must do so near the banner that belongs to his armed group.

53 Porém, os levitas armarão suas tendas ao redor do Tabernáculo do Testemunho, para que Minha fúria não caia sobre o povo de Israel. Os levitas guardarão o Tabernáculo do Testemunho". 54 O povo de Israel fez todas essas coisas. Eles fizeram tudo que Yahweh ordenou através de Moisés.

53 However, the Levites must set up their tents around the tabernacle of the covenant decrees so that my anger does not come upon the people of Israel. The Levites must care for the tabernacle of the covenant decrees." 54 The people of Israel did all these things. They did everything that Yahweh commanded through Moses.
