1 Ai de mim! Sou como quem colhe frutos do verão após o período da colheita, após o respigo das uvas nos vinhedos: não há mais cachos de frutas para encontrar, nem figo novo, que tanto desejo. 2 As pessoas piedosas desapareceram da terra e não há sequer uma pessoa justa em toda humanidade. Todos mentem, preparando armadilhas para derramar sangue; cada um caça seu próprio irmão com uma rede.

1 Woe is me! I have become like the gathering of summer fruit, and like the grapes that have been gleaned; there is no grape cluster to eat, no ripe early fig that my soul desires. 2 The faithful ones have vanished from the land; there is no upright person in all mankind. They all lie in wait to shed blood; each one hunts his own brother with a net.

3 As suas mãos são boas só para fazer o mal: o governante exige dinheiro, o juiz aceita suborno, e o homem poderoso está dizendo aos outros o que quer obter. Assim, eles tramam juntos. 4 O melhor deles é como um espinheiro, o mais justo entre eles é pior que uma cerca de espinhos. Este é o dia que foi predito por teus sentinelas, o dia da tua punição. Agora começará a confusão deles.

3 Their hands are very good at doing harm: the ruler asks for money, the judge is ready for bribes, and the powerful man is telling others of the desire of his soul. Thus they plot together. 4 The best of them is like a brier, the most upright is worse than a thorn hedge. It is the day foretold by your watchmen, the day of your punishment. Now is the time of their confusion.

5 Não acrediteis em nenhum vizinho; nem ponhais a vossa confiança em nenhum amigo. Tende cuidado com o que dizeis, até mesmo para a mulher que se deita nos vossos braços. 6 Porque o filho desonra seu pai, a filha levanta-se contra sua mãe, e a nora, contra sua sogra. Os inimigos do homem são as pessoas da sua própria casa.

5 Do not trust any neighbor; do not put confidence in any friend. From even the woman who lies in your embrace guard the entrance to your mouth. 6 For a son dishonors his father, a daughter rises up against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. A man's enemies are the people of his own house.

7 Mas, quanto a mim, olharei para Yahweh. Esperarei pelo Deus da minha salvação; meu Deus me ouvirá. 8 Não te alegres a respeito de mim, minha inimiga; ainda que eu tenha caído, eu me levantarei. Quando me sentar nas trevas, Yahweh será a minha luz.

7 But as for me, I will look to Yahweh. I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me. 8 Do not rejoice over me, my enemy. After I fall, I will rise. When I sit in darkness, Yahweh will be a light for me.

9 Porque pequei contra Yahweh, suportarei a Sua ira, até que Ele julgue meu caso e execute Seu juízo sobre mim. Ele me levará para a luz, e O verei regastar-me em Sua justiça.

9 Because I sinned against Yahweh, I will bear his rage until he pleads my case and executes judgment for me. He will bring me to the light, and I will see him rescue me in his justice.

10 Então, minha inimiga verá isso e será coberta de vergonha, ela, que havia dito: "Onde está Yahweh, o teu Deus?". Meus olhos olharão para ela; será pisada como a lama nas ruas.

10 Then my enemy will see it, and shame will cover the one who said to me, "Where is Yahweh your God?" My eyes will look at her; she will be trampled down like the mud in the streets.

11 O dia para construir teus muros virá; neste dia, tuas divisas serão expandidas para mais longe. 12 Naquele dia, teu povo virá para ti, da Assíria e das cidades do Egito, desde o Egito até o grande rio, o Eufrates, de mar a mar e de montanha a montanha. 13 Essas terras serão abandonadas, por causa das pessoas que estão vivendo lá agora, por causa do fruto de suas ações.

11 A day to build your walls will come; on that day the boundaries will be extended very far. 12 On that day your people will come to you, from Assyria and the cities in Egypt, from Egypt to the River, from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain. 13 But the land will be desolate because of the people who are living there, because of the fruit of their actions.

14 Pastoreia o Teu povo com Tua vara, o rebanho da Tua herança. Eles vivem sozinhos em uma floresta, cercados de terras férteis. Deixa que pastem em Basã e Gileade, como nos dias antigos. 15 "Como no dia em que saístes da terra do Egito, Eu lhes mostrarei maravilhas".

14 Shepherd your people with your rod, the flock of your inheritance. They dwell alone in a thicket, in the midst of a pastureland. Let them graze in Bashan and Gilead as in the old days. 15 As in the days when you came out of the land of Egypt, I will show them wonders.

16 As nações verão e ficarão envergonhadas com o poder deles. Colocarão as mãos em suas bocas; seus ouvidos ficarão surdos. 17 Elas lamberão a poeira como a cobra, como as criaturas que rastejam na terra. Elas sairão tremendo de suas tocas; com pavor, virão a Ti, Yahweh, nosso Deus, e temerão por Tua causa.

16 The nations will see and be ashamed of all their power. They will put their hands on their mouths; their ears will be deaf. 17 They will lick the dust like a snake, like creatures that crawl on the earth. They will come out of their fortresses with fear; they will come with fear to you, Yahweh our God, and they will be afraid because of you.

18 Quem é Deus igual a Ti, que tiras o pecado, que perdoas as transgressões do remanescente da Tua herança? Não manténs Tua ira para sempre, porque Tu amas nos mostrar Teu amor leal.

18 Who is a God like you— who takes away iniquity, who passes over the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? He does not keep his anger forever because he delights in his covenant faithfulness.

19 Tu, novamente, terás compaixão de nós; Tu colocarás nossas iniquidades debaixo de Teus pés. Tu lançarás todos os nossos pecados nas profundezas do mar. 20 Darás a verdade para Jacó e o amor leal a Abraão, como Tu juraste a nossos antepassados nos dias antigos.

19 You will again have compassion on us; you will trample our iniquities under your feet. You will throw all our sins into the depths of the sea. 20 You will give truth to Jacob and covenant faithfulness to Abraham, as you swore to our ancestors in ancient days.
