1 Então, Salomão começou a construir o templo de Yahweh. Isso aconteceu quatrocentos e oitenta anos após o povo de Israel ter deixado a terra do Egito, no quadragésimo ano do reinado de Salomão sobre Israel, no mês de Zive, que é o segundo mês. 2 O templo que o rei Salomão construiu para Yahweh era de sessenta côvados de comprimento, vinte côvados de largura e trinta côvados de altura.

1 So Solomon began to build the temple of Yahweh. This happened in the 480th year after the people of Israel came out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month. 2 The temple that King Solomon built for Yahweh was sixty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and thirty cubits high.

3 The portico in front of the temple's main hall was twenty cubits in length, equal to the width of the temple, and ten cubits deep in front of the temple. 4 For the house he made windows with frames that made them more narrow at the outside than on the inside.

5 Junto aos muros da câmara principal, ele construiu salas, ao redor da sala externa e da sala interna. Ele construiu salas ao redor das paredes. 6 A sala do térreo tinha cinco côvados de largura, a central tinha seis côvados de largura, e a terceira era de sete côvados de largura. 5 Against the walls of the main chamber he built rooms around it, around both the outer room and the inner room. He built rooms all around the sides. 6 The lowest story was five cubits wide, the middle was six cubits wide, and the third was seven cubits wide. For on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house all around so that the beams would not be inserted in the walls of the house.

7 O templo foi construído com pedras preparadas na pedreira. Nenhum martelo, machado, ou nenhuma ferramenta de ferro foi ouvida enquanto ele estava sendo construído. 8 No lado sul do templo, havia uma entrada na parte térrea, então subia-se pelas escadas até a parte central, e da parte central até o terceiro nível.

7 The house was built of stones prepared at the quarry. No hammer, ax, or any iron tool was heard in the house while it was being built. 8 On the south side of the temple there was an entrance at the ground level, then one went up by stairs to the middle level, and from the middle to the third level.

9 Assim, Salomão construiu o templo e o terminou; ele o cobriu com vigas e tábuas de cedro. 10 Ele construiu salas ao redor de todo o templo, cada lado com cinco côvados de altura; elas estavam ligadas ao templo com madeiras de cedro.

9 So Solomon built the temple and finished it; he covered the house with beams and planks of cedar. 10 He built the side rooms against the inner chambers of the temple, each side five cubits high; they were joined to the house with timbers of cedar.

11 A palavra de Yahweh veio a Salomão, dizendo: 12 "No que concerne a este templo que estás construindo, se andares nos Meus estatutos e praticares a justiça, guardares todos os Meus mandamentos e andares neles, então Eu confirmarei a Minha promessa que fiz a Davi, teu pai. 13 Habitarei no meio do povo de Israel e não os abandonarei".

11 The word of Yahweh came to Solomon, saying, 12 "Concerning this temple which you are building, if you walk in my statutes and do justice, keep all my commandments and walk in them, then I will confirm my promise with you that I had made to David your father. 13 I will live among the people of Israel and will not forsake them."

14 Então, Salomão construiu o templo e o terminou. 15 Ele construiu as paredes do interior com tábuas de cedro. Desde o piso até o teto, ele as cobriu por dentro com madeira; e o piso, cobriu com tábuas de cipreste.

14 So Solomon built the house and finished it. 15 Then he built the interior walls of the house with boards of cedar. From the floor of the house to the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood, and he covered the floor of the house with cypress boards.

16 Ele construiu vinte côvados na parte de trás do templo com tábuas de cedro desde o piso até o teto. Ele construiu essa sala para que fosse uma sala interna, o Santíssimo Lugar. 17 O salão principal, que é o Santo Lugar, que estava em frente ao Santíssimo Lugar, era de quarenta côvados de comprimento. 18 Havia cedro dentro do templo, esculpido em forma de frutos e flores da cabaça. Por dentro, tudo era de cedro. Nenhum trabalho de pedra era visto no seu interior.

16 He built twenty cubits onto the rear of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the ceiling. He built this room to be the inner room, the most holy place. 17 The main hall, that is, the holy place that was in front of the most holy place, was forty cubits long. 18 There was cedar inside the house, carved in the shape of gourds and open flowers. All was cedar inside. No stonework was visible on the inside.

19 Salomão preparou a sala interior do templo para que ali fosse colocada a Arca da Aliança de Yahweh. 20 A sala interior era de vinte côvados de comprimento, e vinte côvados de largura e vinte de altura. Salomão revestiu as paredes com ouro puro e cobriu o altar com madeira de cedro.

19 Solomon prepared the inner room inside the house in order to place the ark of the covenant of Yahweh there. 20 The inner room was twenty cubits in length, twenty cubits in width, and twenty cubits in height. Solomon overlaid the walls with pure gold and covered the altar with cedar wood.

21 Salomão revestiu o interior do templo com ouro puro, e colocou correntes de ouro na frente da sala interior, e revestiu-a com ouro. 22 Ele revestiu todo o interior com ouro, até que todo o templo foi terminado. Ele também revestiu com ouro todo o altar que pertencia à sala interior.

21 Solomon overlaid the inside of the temple with pure gold, and he placed chains of gold across the front of the inner room, and overlaid the front with gold. 22 He overlaid the entire interior with gold until all the temple was finished. He also overlaid with gold the whole altar that belonged to the inner room.

23 Salomão fez dois querubins de madeira de oliveira, cada um deles com dez côvados de altura, para a sala interior. 24 Uma das asas do primeiro querubim era de cinco côvados de comprimento, e outra asa dele tinha também cinco côvados de comprimento. Então, da ponta de uma asa até a ponta da outra, havia a distância de dez côvados. 25 O outro querubim também tinha asas de dez côvados. Os dois querubins tinham as mesmas dimensões e formas. 26 A altura de um querubim era de dez côvados, e o outro tinha a mesma altura.

23 Solomon made two cherubim of olivewood, each ten cubits high, for the inner room. 24 One wing of the first cherub was five cubits long and its other wing was also five cubits long. So from the tip of one wing to the tip of the other there was a distance of ten cubits. 25 The other cherub also had a wingspan of ten cubits. Both the cherubim were of the same dimensions and shape. 26 The height of one cherub was ten cubits and the other cherub was the same.

27 Salomão colocou o querubim na sala mais interior. As asas dos querubins eram estendidas, de forma que a asa de um tocava uma parede, e a asa de outro querubim tocava a outra parede. Suas asas tocavam uma na outra no meio do Santíssimo Lugar. 28 Salomão revestiu os querubins com ouro.

27 Solomon placed the cherubim in the innermost room. The wings of the cherubim were stretched out so that the wing of one touched one wall and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall. Their wings touched one another in the middle of the most holy place. 28 Solomon overlaid the cherubim with gold.

29 Ele entalhou todas as paredes da casa com figuras de querubim, palmeiras e flores abertas, na sala interior e exterior. 30 Salomão revestiu o piso da casa com ouro, em ambas as salas, interior e exterior.

29 He carved all the walls of the house around about with figures of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, in the outer and inner rooms. 30 Solomon overlaid the floor of the house with gold, in both the outer and inner rooms.

31 Salomão fez portas de madeira de oliveira para entrada da sala interior. As vigas e batentes tinham cinco seções recuadas. 32 Então ele fez duas portas de madeira de oliveira, e fez nelas esculturas de querubim, palmeiras, e flores abertas. Ele revestiu-as com ouro, e espalhou o ouro no querubim e nas palmeiras.

31 Solomon made doors of olivewood for the entrance to the inner room. The lintel and doorposts had five indented sections. 32 So he made two doors of olivewood, and he made on them carvings of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers. He overlaid them with gold and he spread the gold on the cherubim and palm trees.

33 Dessa forma, Salomão também fez, para entrada do templo, batentes de madeira de oliveira de quadro seções recuadas, 34 e duas portas de madeira de cipreste. As duas folhas de uma das portas moviam-se por dobradiça, como também as duas folhas da outra porta. 35 Ele esculpiu nelas querubim, palmeiras e folhas abertas, e, uniformemente, as revestiu com ouro na escultura.

33 In this way, Solomon also made for the temple entrance doorposts of olive wood having four indented sections 34 and two doors of cypress wood. The two leaves of the one door were folding and the two leaves of the other door were folding. 35 He carved on them cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, and he evenly overlaid gold on the carved work.

36 Ele construiu o pátio interior com três fileiras de pedra cortada e um fileira de vigas de cedro.

36 He built the inner courtyard with three rows of cut stone and a row of cedar beams.

37 A fundação do templo de Yahweh foi lançada no quadragésimo ano, no mês de Zive. 38 No décimo primeiro ano, no mês de Bul, que é o oitavo mês, o templo foi concluído em todas as suas partes de acordo com todas as suas especificações. Salomão levou sete anos para construir o templo.

37 The foundation of the house of Yahweh was laid in the fourth year, in the month of Ziv. 38 In the eleventh year, in the month of Bul, which is the eighth month, the house was finished in all its parts and conforming to all its specifications. Solomon took seven years to build the temple.
